Suggestion Login
At the moment it looks like Logos 4 does not start until the login process has completed, this makes startup slow when the Internet connection is slow. Would it be possible to change this to a background task so we can get the home page displayed faster. This is what Outlook 2007 seems to do.

Seems like a useful suggestion, although I'm unsure how it would work since most of the program deals with resources and we have no way of knowing what license you have, maybe if we keep a copy somewhere on the computer itself after the first login...

On my machine, every time I start L4 it fails to log in and I have to try again. I'm sure this isn't intentional, and could be related to a setting elsewhere on my system.

I find that statement confusing as my understanding is that we can still use our full library offline so there must be a copy of our licenses stored locally as well as on the servers in Bellingham.

Hi Rick
Something similar happened to me once, when the software displayed the box it looked like my password had been corrupted as there were twice as many dots as there should have been.

I don't have to reenter my password. I just click the button to try again (or 'next,' or whatever the button is called). It just isn't able to connect the first time.

I too am confused by that statment.... the ability to workoffline is there to support those where a constant internet connection is not available.

It does work if you are offline. You get this dialog box, and then when you click "Work Offline" it opens Logos:

Yes, I can confirm that. However the statement is true in the fact that you have to connect at first, after you installed the program, to get your license (I think). After you build the library etc. you can start the program offline and you have all your resources available.
