Downloaded and installed without problems. The Library sort is working properly now, and notes seem to be able to be reordered (thanks!).
Rats! Thought I might be first, only 14 minutes or so later. Not good enough. Oh well! Downloading now!
>>>Restored support for drag and drop reordering of Notes.<<<
[Y] Thank you for all of it, but especially for this one in the new beta drop!!
WooHoo!!! I can confirm reordering of Notes works in B9!!!
Installed, the bug fixes seem to be good!
Yup. Time to release it, and move on to 4.0c? [Y][:D]
MJ, says that dragging URLs to favorties isn't working in B8. Hope that they get that fixed before releasing. Is it working in B9?
It worked for me just now (from firefox):
I can drag a URL from FireFox to Favorites in B9. The link works.
[Y][Y] Thanks Todd
I also use firefox ... but I cannot get the Orthodox wiki to take. I have successfully entered a number of other URL's
It would be nice if when I drag an item to reorder it in Notes that the focus would stay on the note I just dragged rather than jump back to the top. Perhaps this is the scrolling you referred to, although I got some random scrolling in addition to this jumping back to the top of the note file.
Installed good. . . reordered a bunch of notes that had gotten mixed up for some reason after importing them. . . worked like a champ and new notes are slipping in right where they should.
I'd love to see one more beta before the RCs start popping up. I'd really like verse lists in 4.0b. . . it's the only reason I still open L3 regularly.
If you are running Logos 4 as Administrator, the drag and drop will not work, as you can't drag from a lower priority to a higher one. Be sure to run Logos NOT as Administrator, once I did this drag and drop of URLs works every time. Also be sure to grab the logo-icon to the left of the URL address in Firefox for the most reliable attempt. You also seem to have to drop it in an empty space inside the Favorites panel, then move it under an existing folder if you want it subordinated somewhere else.

SUCCESS - I only started at 5:00p.m. yesterday. I still don't know what is different about the one link but I did get it into Favorites directly by not resizing the pane in Beta 9. Thanks you everyone for the help.[<:o)]
The Library sort is working properly now,
Not only the Library but also Collections can now be sorted by author etc without a crash!
THANK YOU1

[Y] +1
Downloaded B9 without a problem, 201MB, which could include some clean-up I did on my Lexham resources where I had invalid duplicates. Looks good.
OH YEAH.. thanks for adding our custom mark up into the visual filters choices, am a very happy bunny

Funny thing. I had not tried this with beta 8. So I am sitting at Camp Logos yesterday and while he is demonstrating the sort in Library dialogue box I am crashing all over the place. I didn't know about the issue so I was getting frustrated. Jack Caviness was sitting next to me and informed me of this issue. Back in the hotel that night I find beta 9 and joila' - problem solved.
I can change order of notes by dragging one by one. Is there a command which will sort notes by certain keywords or bible verses?

No there is not. It's been asked for an frequently discussed.
Here is an issue that I came across, I don't know if it is a repairable problem, or perhaps just a result of my actions:
There is always a risk with that method of installation. How many <randon name> folders are in \Logos4\Data?
I am tempted to install Logos 4.0b Beta 9 on my system. My questions is, if and when it becomes an official release, will it automatically update my beta version to the official release?
Thanks,
Michael

What happened last time was the beta automatically updated to RC1 but we had to manually install the second release candidates (download the installer) which was decided to be worthy of gold status.
I am running 4.0b beta 9 and I found a problem in one of the resources. I don't know whether the problem is with the resource or with the beta. The problem is that there are @ signs all over the place where Greek words are in the text. I don't know whether this issue affects other resources as this is the first time I have noticed it. Since this seems to be a font problem, I verified that the default Greek font is still set to default (Gentium) and it is.
See the screenshot below:
I have these same @ symbols in my copy as well
The @ sign appears in Logos 3 as well, so it's in the book itself. I will report it.
Thanks,Melissa

Just one.
The worst consequence hasn't occurred! So you may be OK.

I think so too, running the repair portion of the installer program seems to have straightened everything out.
Minor point, but could we 'unsticky' betas 9 and 10?
