Deleting named layouts?
I had uninstalled the download version and installed from the DVD but evidently in one of the folders that I saved, there were some elements of the previous version because some of my personal stuff was still there; namely layouts that I had created. Unfortunately picking any saved layout crashes my machine.
I'd like to delete any named layouts but can't figure out how...can anyone help?

Robert,
I can't find a way to delete them from within the program, but a simple solution would be to make a new layout and then give the new layout the same name as the old one. This should replace the old one (it might take a minute to update), and then you're back in business.

Agreed. I had real trouble working out out to 'save' a layout in the first place and only learnt from these forums. I haven't gotten to deleting one but would have been just as stuck as I was when it came to 'saving', sorry,,nameing' , one.

I should add , I think there needs to be an option also to replace with current layout on the right-click menu. I think that I've said that elsewhere, but can't remember.
So right-click = Rename; Replace with Current; Delete (get rid of Load)

Yes, I am with you on that.
P.S. You look really good, Damian. Especially your new hair cut [Y]

A bit battered a bruised from the new interface...
It's not a new hair cut - I've torn out a few strands trying to get the computer to do what I want to do... [:O]

Hey Damian, thanks for posting that as I was trying to figure that out too. Yes it isn't the most intuitive item and didn't help that the HELP file didn't even mention it. I think LOGOS should just allow you to delete it right on the screen without having to search back for it.

Kenneth,
You're welcome.
Obviously, bugs are earnestly being squashed at the moment. This is the priority consideration. Nevertheless, it would be nice to know if some of our interface suggestions have been taken on board and, if they have, whether we are likely to see them introduced in any upcoming Beta.
Some of the obvious inconsistencies in the placement of right-click context menu items is quite frustrating (I always look to the wrong place for "Power Lookup"). But, I don't know when, or even if, this will be addressed. Alas, I will have to content myself with making mention of it every 39 hours (or so).
