Verse lists
Where do find the verse list in V4? I often us the import / export feature. For example I read all the references in a MsWord document into a verse list, then display it as reference + text in the version of choice, and then cut & paste back into another MsWord doc or PPT.

I'm with you 100% on this one. I really think the verse list is something not to be compromised. However I believe Bob has said it will not be in the initial release of 4.0 but a soon after version.

I hope they don't wait too long to put back the verse lists. I really use this all the time to get Scripture data into and out of Logos.

Verse Lists are on our list of things to put in, but presently they're scheduled for after 4.0.
Just in case you're curious... the feedback feature gives us stats on feature use. 10% of users have used Verse Lists. That puts it way ahead of some other 3.0 features; Sentence Diagrams are around 1.6%!
We're sorry about (almost) all the missing features, but we are trying to put them in based on the feedback stats...0 -
you can put me in as a stat for sentence diagramming.

I use them occasionally so would miss them. A work around is making sure we have SmartTags in 4.0.

I liked the verse list but if I had to learn another way to accomplish the same thing I'd be ok with that...as long as it didn't involve another hundred mouse clicks!

The v3 Verse List provides a sure way to compare the results of two searches (ie. verses in one but not the other), so I hope they retain this feature.

I use the verse lists fairly often, particularly alongside cross references (I like to put xrefs in a verse list and order canonically), and will miss this feature. In fact, verse lists are one reason I don't use the Mac version all the time. It is hardly a show stopper, but it will be missed. Hope it makes it back in fairly soon after release!

Do you use the "power" features of merging and editing multiple verse lists, or simply to keep lists of verses with multiple views?

I generally work with one list at a time while working on a sermon and usually don't save the list. When finished with that part of my study (a specific step to look for related passages) I'll put the references in a Pages document and delete the verse list.

didn't know about the "power" features, probably because I didn't need them. I used "import from active Word" and "from clipboard" a lot, and I used them to quickly get a list of verses with text together. However if all verse list had was a way to type verses into a box to add them to the list initially I would be happy. I wouldn't want it to stay there, though. I would want the clip board and word doc file eventually, as well as some features that 3.x didn't have :-) In the words of one of my favorite movies...what about Bob...."give me give me give me, I Need! I Need!"

I should add that my starting point was almost always the Auto Lookup window from Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. I would export to verse list and I would add/subtract passages from there. The Cited By tool would be my new starting point if I could export. One weakness of Cited By is that, at present at least, it appears to be impossible to print from it.

I guess I'm not a 'power' user. I actually saved a link to the 2.0 version of the Verse List report since I found it easier to use. I use it to generate a list for Bible study handouts and sermons, generally then copy the list and paste it into either MS Word or Publisher.I don't usually save them.
If you retain smart tags for MS Word in 4.0, I can work around not having the list, but sure would like to see it. Basic Bible software stuff it seems to me, and shouldn't be missing.
