Announcement: Logos Now to continue at same price (with new name)

I am sorry for how we communicated the Logos Now / Faithlife Connect change. This was my fault, not the team's.

We have been listening to your feedback and you have caused us to change our plan.

The bottom line: We are reversing this change, and you do not have to do anything. You will be automatically returned to the situation as of two weeks ago, before our announcement.

We are effectively restoring Logos Now at the same price, only with more value. This configuration will be called Faithlife Connect Essentials (No Library), and will come with everything in Faithlife Connect Essentials (https://connect.faithlife.com/) except the subscription-based access to the library.

This is everything Logos Now was and a bit more, and will include other (non-library) improvements/benefits to Faithlife Connect Essentials as they are released.

If you were happy with Logos Now, this is the same, with no change in price. As a Logos Now subscriber, you are grandfathered into this package and price point.

You do not need to take any action. We will cancel the coupon codes and set your subscription to the newly-named package automatically. It is like we are 'undoing' the last two weeks, and simply re-naming your Logos Now subscription and adding a few benefits.

If you previously subscribed to Logos Now but had expired/canceled, we will contact you in the next few weeks with a one-time opportunity to re-subscribe at this grandfathered price.

We will probably offer this configuration to future new base package customers at a mid-way price point, possibly $14.99. (If you cancel your subscription at the grandfathered price, you'd need to pay this new price to restore it.)

If you were happy with the new offer and would prefer to keep the coupon code and the Faithlife Connect Starter subscription, or upgrade to Faithlife Connect Essentials, you can contact us and we'll take care of it.

It will take us a few days to roll out appropriate emails, web pages, and other changes, but since the main impact was already deferred to months away, there's no hurry or need to take any immediate action on your part. And if you're happy to 'go back to what it was', no action is needed at all.

I am very sorry that we failed to clearly communicate our plans and reasoning in advance, and that we caused so many of our faithful customers to feel hurt or surprised. We value our relationship with you, and are sorry to have damaged it in any way.

I hope you will forgive us, and accept this apology and change of plans.

It is our understanding that this announcement restores every user to a better situation with absolutely no change in cost.

For more than 25 years we have endeavored to use technology to equip the Church to grow in the light of the Bible, and to earn your trust . I am sorry for letting you down, and hope that this change has come quickly enough to restore your confidence in us.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Thanks, Bob! When can we expect to see this change go into action on our accounts?

    Bob,

I plan to reset my subscription to auto-renew based on this news.

And, thank you for this month's P&R sale. Although I am one of those longtime customers that purchases selectively these days, this sale prompted me to purchase a few.

"If you previously subscribed to Logos Now but had expired/canceled, we will contact you in the next few weeks with a one-time opportunity to re-subscribe at this grandfathered price."

This right here. I hope I'm on this email list as a previous Logos Now customer.

You do not need to take any action. We will cancel the coupon codes and set your subscription to the newly-named package automatically.

Are you doing away with the $200 coupon?

    Thank you Bob.

As I mentioned in another post I apologize for my initial reaction and the attitude I expressed in some of the emails I sent.

Thank you for listening, it really is appreciated.

Great news! Thank you for listening to the people's feedback! This is a great move by your company!!

I have a question. What if you have already used the coupon code and say that you purchased the FFS and a few other resources? When the change reverts back to the previous LN or to Faithlife Connect Essentials No Library (instead of Faithlife Connect Starter), will the FFS and other resources be gone as well?

    Thanks

Thank you so much for this move  Bob. Thanks for the apology and thanks for listening to us.  I feel  quite lost for  words over this , I feel  a little blown away by your stance so thank you.

I'm curious about what happens to folks that may have already used the coupon code to purchase the L7 Feature Set? I personally didn't use it, but I'm sure some folks will be wondering.

Thanks, Bob. Never lost confidence in you, though I set my subscription not to auto-renew. If I could change LN Now to auto-renew, I would've already done so. (It doesn't appear to let me.)

    Blessings, & thanks.

Now, we just have to figure out our part to keeping you in business.

This kind of makes my head hurt. I was trying to adjust to the new subscription to see if it would work for me. I can't find any books to purchase in Deals because they're not discounted or in Lexham Originals because they're grayed out, so I'm undecided on Connect Essentials. But now it's gone? I'm going to wait until the end of March and have CS explain it to me.

It doesn't look like I can reset my Logos Now subscription to auto-renew or that the "No Library" version of Essentials shows up yet. I'll assume that those details will be addressed shortly.

As a poor graduate student, I cannot thank you enough!

Well this is good news but I'm sad I didn't use my coupon code.  I was going to save it for L8.  Goes to show that you should use things immediately upon finding them I guess

I am/was/still a LN annual subscriber but from this post can I take it as I'll return to my LN annual @ the $99/year rate?  Will there be a monthly option added as well?

Thank you! As always, you are much too generous. I really appreciate the continued privilege of access to new features for a more than fair price.

Hi Bob, this seems like a very good decision on your part, and I commend you for it.

Will any of it affect Verbum Now?

Bob, Thank you. This course correction has thoroughly restored my faith in Logos. Thank you so much. God bless you. Have a wonderful weekend.

Presumably, I don't need to do anything? The change to my subscriptions section will be handled on your end?

    Thanks again.

    Thank you Bob!

This makes me to want to invest even more.

Please bring out the Logos 8 soon... and take my money!

    Bob,

    Thank you. Wonderful decision!

It's good to know that FL values the both the input (even if written in fear and deep emotion) and the suggestions of your customers. You have righted the course!

This announcement is a reminder to me that even a large company can have ears and a heart.

Thank you, again. This decision is a true blessing!

I just can't thank you enough. Really.

    Thanks Bob,

This is great news and it does a lot to restore my faith in Faithlife.

When L8 arrives will we be able to use the coupon code that was sent to us if we haven't already used it?

Thanks again for listening to your base.

Thank you Bob, for listening to your customers. Faith restored. God bless, and may Faithlife prosper long into the future.

Thanks for the change in direction Bob.. It is much appreciated.

I’d actually already spent mine but definitely want to stick with this plan, so I’ve requested a refund on my purchase and requested that my voucher be cancelled off - they haven’t (clearly) stated that this refund is necessary but I’m more than happy at the way things have been handled here, and don’t want to exploit the situation or confuse matters.

Thank-you!! This has restored my faith in the company.

Great to see a place at the table remains for those who wish to own their resources, and that we're not going to be the poor relation or have to pay more for things we'll not use.

Allow me to be a dissenting voice.

I was quite happy with the change and my $200 coupon. I wish I had used it now!

    This is Awesome!!!! Thanks Bob!

Has anyone seen this change reflected in their subscriptions?

That won't happen until next week sometime (probably Wednesday at the earliest). We'll be sure to let you know when everything has been taken care of.

I don't even use Logos Now, but I have to say thank you too!

This story should be written up in Readers Digest or on National TV about how business can be conducted.  I have never seen anything quite like it.  I am almost tempted to buy LN just to say thanks, but think I will see what LMM brings first.

The announcement says you can still go with the initial offer, if you wish, you will have to talk with them but they will let you keep the FaithLife starter with the 200 dollar offer, dropping the grandfathered option.  One reason for this may be because people like me showed that the library option has many books already purchased in the libraries of packages.  I had one of three I think in the Essentials package and about one of two in the starters and no price reduction for either package.  This option, I loose the books I do not have, but keep everything I have with Logos Now..

This is a great win-win solution and it is much appreciated.

Thank you Bob for taking the opportunity to listen to your customers, incorporate our feedback, and resolve the situation. I look forward to the new Logos Connect Essential (No Resources) plan.

    A few additional comments:

    1. You still do not have to release new Logos features every six weeks like we had with Logos Now. You can keep the six week release schedule for bug fixes and smaller updates, but we don't need major new features every six weeks. Take your time on them, and release them when they're ready.

    2. I've instructed my sales rep to ensure my Faithlife Connect Essential (No Resources) plan renews. I won't purchase the Logos 7 feature set and just stick with Faithlife Connect for access to Logos features. You're welcome to take back the coupon (I haven't use it yet). Bible Study Magazine will be set to auto-renew as well.

    3. When Logos 8 comes out, in terms of features, I'll likely stick with Faithlife Connect. In terms of books, I'll evaluate what you offer and see if any of your packages would benefit me (I've been pivoting away from needing major packages anyway since I'm now in a position where I need to focus on specialized purchases. I'm not spending less money overall in books, just putting money toward more specialized books that align with my academic major). I'll at least give Logos 8 a look now,

    4. My Master Journal Bundle Pre-Pub has been restored. I'm reviewing my canceled pre-pubs, and most of them will likely be restored. I had a Mobile Ed pre-pub I may leave canceled and watch it free on Faithlife Connect, then decide to purchase it if I need permanent access to it. My Community Pricing purchases have been restored as well.

    5. I'm restoring access to Faithlife's marketing emails and access to the marketing stuff on my Logos homepage. In terms of future book sales, I'll evaluate each situation and decide how I need to best purchase resources to fit my overall Bible study workflow (pretty much that's how I handled it in the past).

    6. The $14.99/month price point for Faithlife Connect Essential (No Resources) is a good idea for new customers/subscribers. Other subscription services I'm on have made price increases in the past, but allowed existing customers to be grandfathered in. It's a good move and one that is sensible.

Thank you again for resolving this situation. I appreciate your taking the time to listen and implement the needed changes.

    Dr. Nathan Parker

    Thank you very much sir.

    Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for responding in this way. In my initial surpise at the first announcement, I was more disappointed in the way things were handled than in the realization that subscription based packages are the wave if the future. The tiers of the new system make sense. That said, had you simply offered to grandfather in old NOW subscribers, and only offered the new package to new subscribers, I doubt you would have heard much of a peep - tho in truth, some will grumble at any change, be it good or bad. :-) . I love Logos and use it everysingle day, as I have for years. My library and my tools in one integrated libro-system is invaluable. And seeing you respond as you have makes me delight in not having jumped too quickly when I saw the initial offering, and restored my sense of the partnership with Logos I have treasured. Thank you. Reid Ferguson. Might I suggest a true side-by-side comparison of the grandfathered | Starter | Essentials? You might find more willing to change if it is simply offered with clear delineating detaisl. Just a thought. R

    Thanks Bob! :)

Question: Will this price point be valid for a year and then increased to $14.99 to match the one offered to new users?

Currently we're planning to keep you grandfathered in at the Logos Now price for as long as you stay subscribed. That's not a promise that that price will never change, but if it does it'll likely be small and incremental with plenty of advanced notice. If you cancel your subscription and rejoin, you'd get back in at the $14.99/mo. price. So you'll need to stay subscribed to continue to enjoy the extra special discounted rate.

I too am shocked and pleased. As a very long term user, I continue to be surprised at the outstanding responses shown by Faithlife. As a previous owner of a couple of other products, it was more like dealing with Apple (in other words - no response). I am so pleased that this issue has been resolved beyond anyone's expectation. This is why I have been a long term customer and have spent $xx,xxx in the last 25 years.

I remain concerned about Faithlife diversification to a point it may become burdened financially. But clearly the customer response remains your strength in a world where most companies could care less.

In a word - Thank you (actually 2 words).

NO, you've just introduced an error and possible cause of confusion! You WOULD get back in at $14.99 versus staying in at $9.99 (or $99/yr).

Eventhough I am not LN subscriber, (I always prefer ownership model vs renting), I am very happy that Faithlife found a solution that would benefit everyone. It makes me confident that Bob listens costumers and will never jeopardize them.

Bumping this post. I will try writing this address after some time (i.e., closer to daytime in Bellingham) to find out about keeping the coupon deal.

I think thats because he didn’t mind paying the $240 that’s why he got to keep the coupon

I have just woken up to a reply from this address ... it works [:)] ... although I suspect they are a little inundated.

I have opted to keep the new connect offering ... or more specifically to keep the $200 code off L8. I had already bought the L7 full features with a view to dropping LN completely ... I could not see much value in it.

I like the mEd courses and currently see connect as a way of accessing them cheaply. With my current time commitments, it can take at least 6 months to traverse one completely ... and I 'own' more than enough to keep me busy for a while should one a year not be sufficient.

Under the new Essentials package, can you choose what mEd course you access? Under LN, the offering was very poor, to the point of my never bothering with that aspect.

Either way, with the starter at $108 pa, or a grandfathered LN at $99 pa; it seems that the extra $9 per year is worth paying for the $200 voucher. Unless I am missing something? ... such as the 1 year pre-pub promise ... which I have not seen mentioned.

"I just emailed customer support  at cs@logos.com and got confirmation back in about an hour that my account would remain as per the original deal (coupon code, Faithlife Connect Essentials subscription etc). Thanks Faithlife and Bob!"

Perfect! The exact information I was looking for. Thanks.

Great news! Confidence restored and your humility has challenged me to pray for FaithLife, which is something I have never done before.

    Thanks Bob

For a customer this is a fair and reasonable compromise, as usual you have come through for us.

I agree with the comments of others that we don't need new features every 6 weeks as personally I struggle to keep up with the change and incorporate it into my study. Regular stability, performance and minor usability enhancements would be good though.

    Thanks Bob! :)

    Dear Sir

Thank you for bringing back Logos Now (Faithlife Connect Essentials (No Library)).  Thank you for the $200 discount code towards purchasing Logos 8.

Will I still be able to use this code when I upgrade to Logos 8?  Please could you let me know.

    Thank You.

Will I still be able to use this code when I upgrade to Logos 8?

    Hi Martin.

I have highlighted the pertinent piece from Bob's OP

    Hope that helps.

I will be keeping connect (and the coupon code) as soon as I can work out who to contact!

I am happy with this new change to Faithlife Connect Essentials (No Library).  I am interested in whether there will be a Logos Now discount for purchase of Logos 8 base packages.

    Thank you.

I will be keeping connect (and the coupon code) as soon as I can work out who to contact!

That makes two of us. Let me know if you ever find out how to contact them. The generic email addresses are typically a complete waste of time

The question about the coupon was answered.  The statement is the Logos now (FaithLife Connect Essentials  no Library will not that is repeat not have a coupon for two hundred dollars iwith it.  If you want the two hundred dollar coupon you will have to accept the Faithlife Connnect Starter option, and coupon bonus.

Whew! That was a close one. Thanks for reconsidering, Bob.

If you were happy with Logos Now, this is the same, with no change in price. As a Logos Now subscriber, you are grandfathered into this package and price point.

Bob, thank you very much for listening to us.

I do hope that you do not feel obligated to keep the price for grand-fathered customers at $8.99 indefinably. I don't think the objection was so much a price increase, but having to pay for what we had already purchased. We fully understand that Logos has to turn a profit. One of the attractions of Logos Now for many of us is we thought we were actually helping Logos with the cost of development and support.

Even if I had to pay $14.99 per month to have Faithlife Connect (no library) I would be a happy customer. $5 per month may seem trivial, but it just the thought of pay that amount for what I have already purchased seemed grossly unfair.

BTW I think the reason people don't have the same reaction Netflix or Apple Music is because those subscriptions give you access to libraries many times larger than what you already owned, but in the case of FLC the library was many times smaller than the one you already own! Might want to keep this in mind for the future.

That is true for you (and me!), but not for new subscribers... As originally set up, FC was for new users. This change has added back in the much needed correction for long time users (and those who want to own their books).

Love covers a multitude of “sins” :-)

Thank you Bob. I’ve been a Logos fanboy since 2006 and have won many a convert to Logos. Things like birthday coupons and humble responses like this one continue to remind me why I love you guys so much. Keep up the great work!

This is good news, thank you. I will re-set my membership to auto renew again.

This is why, despite occasional set backs, Logos truly is the best bet for Bible study students - period! Bob has yet again demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his customer base, and that he has the spiritual wherewithal to offer a genuine, humble apology when FL customers feel they've been slighted. I'm proud to be a 13-year Logos user and have no plans to ever change that.

BTW, and IMHO, Bob, while I appreciate the restoration of Logos Now (with a new name), and the grandfathering into the Essentials package, I don't think you should have felt obligated to offer this package at a grandfathered price. Things change - wages, technology costs, the competitive environment, etc., etc. As such, you should be free to make reasonable adjustments to any package or plan. While there are some that would complain should you increase the Essentials package by a quarter (literally), I for one would still see great value in the Essentials plan as now proposed should the price point be $109 or $119, etc.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not asking for a price increase. But I don't think it unreasonable for FL to increase packages incrementally by a few dollars every so often (say, $5 a year for annual plans, or $1 for monthly plans). Financial sustainability is important, and no segment of users, no matter how loyal we are (or feel we are) should be exempt from absorbing a portion of the costs to ensure long-term sustainability. While you certainly know better that I what your revenue needs are, FWIW, I don't think a price lock was necessary. But I do thank you for it!

Thank you again for your humility and integrity, and for listening to your customers. May the Lord richly bless your ministry and the future of FL / Logos.

    Bob,

I am amazed at your response, and grateful for your spirit. Thank you for taking into consideration the concerns of your customers.

Along with others, I don't think you need to feel obligated to keep the price for LN the same if it is not profitable for FL. FL is a business, and while I didn't agree with the change to FLC (or all the diversifying), you need to do what is necessary to remain sustainable.

    Blessings

Thanks for pointing out your blog about this. It seems fair to me. One quote that you did say in your blog was

I was planning to jump ship entirely before they reversed their decision, so they did at least temporarily keep me as a user.

I for one am glad that you didn't "jump ship" and hope you hang in for the long haul.

Using adventure and community to challenge young people to continually say "yes" to God

He already stated the Grandfathered price, when and if the increases are justified, will be brought in gradually.  So the price is not guaranteed to remain the same, however, the price for the non-grandfathered may also increase, keeping us at a somewhat lower price.  I do not care if it eventually vanishes,  my complaint was paying twice for books I already owned.

I received my initial information about the Faithlife Connect on Friday Feb 23.  I sent three questions to Customer Sevice before an answer.   Now I see why, they were flooded.  I took the trouble to check the resources listed for the Faithlife Essentials and or Starter and discoverd I had a significant number of the books in the rented library, and there seemed no discount for the books I owned.  This seems to fly in the face of the policy that we do not pay twice for what we already own.  This is one response allowing one to get the feature set upgrades we have with LOGOS NOW and the free books and preview books, with some extra in that area.  I will be happy with that.  One could consider however whether in the future one could have an option to look at, as you do with base packages, a subscription option that is discounted based on the products one purchases or purchased.  I am wondering how many of the objections were primarily based on paying twice for so many resources that we had already paid for, buying the books you would now rent to us.

I am in full agreement with the many who are impressed with the willingness to admit an error and rethink your new strategy, I do note it seems the idea is to keep subscriptions as having no discount for any who have bought or invested in large libraries, myself well over one thousand monographs.  The greater ones investment in base packages and libraries the less likely one will be interested in the subscription packages that have many volumes already purchased.  Likewise why purchase anything when it will not reduce the subscription price, even when you purchase a product in the subscription?  I believe this issue s one you need to look at.

I have also suggested that, and this applies to both subscription as well as purchased packages, one feature teachers could use is to be able to "dumb down" the package so one can have the student version for the group one is teaching, and remove the extra resources one adds to be a better instructor.  This helps make sure, especially if working with people on limited resources, that one does not frustrate the students referring to resources they lack and may not be able to afford.  A second idea, for mobile ed would be listing the resources they refer to in the course as part of the information about the package, preferably with an idea of the need for the resource in the course, and perhaps a package option for each mobile ed course which includes the mobile ed course and resources strongly advised to get to obtain your best results.  Just a thought or two outside of this discussion.

    Thank you Bob and Faithlife.

Fantastic news. Thank you all so much for listening to your customer base. Don't see a lot of that these days.

I don't know how helpful it will be, but Logos does have a French forum here: http://community.logos.com/forums/120.aspx

I'm still not following or understanding whether those of us who used the Coupon, will have things automatically reversed.

For example, I used the Coupon to upgrade to Logos 7 Full Feature Set. If I leave this thing alone, is that wiped out and I'm automatically reinstated to Logos Now? Or is that something one is going to have to call Home Office about? Anyone have an idea?

I'll say as I did in another thread ... thank you so much Bob for doing what you have. This is nothing short of tremendous on your part.

    Two quick questions, Bob:

    1. Some customers who already used the coupon code are asking what do they need to do if they want to transition to Faithlife Connect (No Resources) if they already used the coupon code. I'm not one of them, but some are wondering.

    2. Can you make another "undo"? The new multiple shades of green coloring behind all the Faithlife services icons is literally causing my vision issues when I try to browse Faithlife website or look at the icons on my iPhone and iPad. Can you pick a single shade of green and use it for the background behind all Faithlife services icons moving forward (it's not just green, any spectrum of colors together interferes with my vision problems. On the days when people change their Facebook profile pics with rainbow colors, I literally get dizzy because the color shifting doesn't lineup correctly when I look at it. I probably need to strengthen my glasses prescription).

    Thanks!

    Dr. Nathan Parker

I don't like the multiple shades of green, but you need to start with an optician and a colour photo of the Faithlife service icons!

Thank you for your humility, listening and gracious response.

Thank you, Bob!  From my perspective, this is a perfect alternative.  Your willingness to change based on customer response demonstrates your appreciation for your "old" customers.

Thank you, Bob for your sincere letter and apology. I am one of those who did not email you. I did wonder what I was going to do (similar to many others).

I am convinced prayers were answered about this "subscription" approach. It did not feel right when I received your "coupon" email. So very grateful you sent this second email.

Will keep praying for the ministry of Logos/Faithlife.

    Prayerfully Yours,

This was my fault, not the team's.

A good leader says it was my fault and takes responsibility. My faith is restored in Faithlife.

And thank you for listening to feedback. This is a great move for those of us who have already invested so heavily in a library!

    Dear Bob,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you and your entire team for the remarkable work you have put into Logos.  Your customer and technical service are truly the best I have dealt with, period.

I have had multiple strokes (eleven, but who's counting) and at times struggle with the understanding the understanding of the changes you have mentioned here and in previous posts.  I do not understand the difference between Logos Now and Faithlife Connect Essentials.  Is there some way I can see the two programs side by side?  I am hoping this indeed is possible, as it will give me a better understanding of the two programs.  To date, I have spent $13,420.65 at Logos.  I tell you this not it boast but to thank you for all the products that you developed and that I find useful in my studies.

Since the strokes, my ability to study has become limited; on a good day, I can work for about four hours before the stroke symptoms return and I crash physically.  As I am sure you can determine, wholesale changes in my day to day studies does not work for a time; after using the new programs, etc., I eventually come around.  I just have to have a good understanding of the program.

This brings me to my next point.  Is there a way to operate Logos or Faithlife programs by speaking.  My right side has been affected by the strokes and typing, writing (I am right handed), using the trackpad (I actually learned how to do that with my left hand), etc., while reminiscent of Tim Conway's comedy, can be both difficult and frustrating.

Bob, again I would like to thank you and everyone at Logos / Faithlife (I am still quite partial to the name Logos) for all they do to bring the Word of God to all.  I know you recognize that those of us that teach, preach, etc., are held to a higher standard.

Before I close I was wondering if you have the men's Logos fleece in large or extra large?  They are no longer on the site, but asking never hurt.

Be Blessed in the Lord and always stand strong for His Word.

    In Christ,

    Rick Shaffer

    Bob- Thank you.

I had no idea about Faithlife Connect till I stumbled onto this thread. I guess because the auto-renew on my Logos Now account is unchecked, I didn't receive the initial email about being moved to from Now to Connect and am still trying to determine what all is going on. I don't think I have received anything about Faithlife Connect, blissfully unaware of its introduction. I guess I need to check out the Logos forums more often. [:)]  I'm glad that concerns have (or "are") being satisfied.

My LN subscription is good into August, and I was debating whether to continue with Logos Now or revert to the full feature set. I now need to see what Faithlife Connect is all about and decide whether to go with the Connect Essentials--No Library. If I'm grandfathered in at the Logos Now $99/year subscription, I may go with it.

PetahChristian, 7 posts above you, has a summary.

I voiced criticism when you made the decision, so now I must thank you and give kudos for the fact that you actually listened to your customers. Thank you!

    Hi and GOD Bless you.

    Thank you.

Thank you Bob.  I think it's fantastic when a CEO can stand up and admit a mistake to his customers and then make it right.  Like many others, I will be setting my auto-renew back to 'on.'

    Thank you!

I haven't gotten an email yet but I did check my subscriptions page and it was changed to:

Faithlife Connect Essentials - No Library (formerly Logos Now) - Annual @ $99.99/year

I haven't gotten an email yet but I did check my subscriptions page and it was changed to:

Were it not for the Logos forums, and this thread in particular, I would not know that Logos Now is almost no more and that I had been switched to Faithlife Connect. I've yet to receive anything from Faithlife about the change, evidently because my LN subscription was not set to auto-renew.

Still--no harm, no foul. It seems to be working out for the best. I may not have continued my LN subscription, but FCE -- No Library is worth keeping to me.
