Topical Search
When I carried out a basic search for faith using "topic:faith" I obtained no hits.
Likewise, when I carried out a basic search for salvation using "topic:salvation" I again obtained no hits.
As I would expect to find both topics in the Bible I do not understand what I have done wrong.
Could someone explain to me how to conduct the two searches above - probably with the correct syntax?
Thanks

Ian,
I believe that the search operator "topic" is not used in V4. There is a thread on the forum discussing this very issue.

Ian,
After someone else helping me I can confirm that for a topic search you just do the following:
search "basic search" type and type the word in and sort by "ranked" and that should do it...see below:

Thanks Robert - that worked so simply.
Now I have to work out how to limit or rank the 380415 results so that it doesn't take forever to find the relevent stuff!
Thanks[Y]

I am trying to figure out if it somehow relates to the Prioritized list of resources, ratings and the frequency of use of the resource. It might be Logos is gathering that info from us users and it then influences the ranked list. Am I mystified on that?I would like to hear from Logos on that.

The rank is calculated based on the density of the terms in your query in the article in the book, with some influence from how close the terms are to each other.
This is similar to how most Internet search engines work. At the moment there's no influence from ratings or anything else.

As shown in the screenshot posted here, the source for each exerpt is in a very light grey font. That shade is hard to read on my screen; I recommend a darker default color.

Thank you Bob for that info. I like more and more the new way. The dynamic collections are just perfect, also the searches. Combination of dynamic collection of rated resources and ranking searches looks very interesting to me. Very creative. Thank you for that.

David..
Have you adjusted your "gamma" on your video card?
While I do agree...a tad more darkness would be better....you can see from this "split screen" that the printing on the left side of the black line is more readable than that on the right.
It really darkens things up...bring it all of the way down....and bring the contrast up and the brightness down some.
