JOHN MacARTHUR: STRANGE FIRE - Really Bad Scriptural Typos
JOHN MacARTHUR: STRANGE FIRE - Really Bad Scriptural Typos
Attention: Carley Ruffner.
As you can see Carly, the Scriptures are running all together, and are not correct, This is the second one I have encountered in this book. The first one I reported with the REPORT TYPO, and also this one. I also see more Scriptural Typos coming up in the FAITHLIFE EBOOK VERSION.I do have the Print Version of STRANGE FIRE, and mine is the 2013 Edition. Another thing, whenever there is a Scriptural Typo in this book, the bulk of the paragraph is in blue writing - hyperlinked. No doubt, I will find Scriptural Typos throughout this book, and I will post them in this thread. This one is on Page 58 of the Print Version. Thank you.

Sometimes a little bit of that slips through when you buy from the ebook bargain bin. Auto algorithms are allegedly improving. Just think how much more useful the book is in Logos than in Kindle and give thanks.

At this rate, I'm going to know what this whole book is about without having to purchase the resource. [:P]

Are you also reporting these via the typo dialog from within in Logos? That is the preferred way to do this sort of thing.
Help links: WIKI; Logos 6 FAQ. (Phil. 2:14, NIV)

Got tired of using the REPORT TYPO feature Rich DeRuiter. Not getting any results, that is why I am posting here.
This Ebook is a complete mess of SCRIPTURAL TYPOS which needs to be corrected ASAP. One can easily be misled this way. When it comes to the Scripture, make sure that it is rightly stated; not a bunch of typos running all together, so that you cannot even understand at some points what the Author is trying to convey to you.

I have completed reading STRANGE FIRE, and these are the rest of the pages that the SCRIPTURAL TYPOS are on:
117, 123, 129, 130, 140, 141, 161, 163, 169, 170, 200, 204, 209, 210, 219, 220, 223, 224, 225, 227, 228, 240, 251, 253.
I pray that this helps to get the typos corrected. Thanks.

Faithlife ebooks are created through an automatic conversion process. In order to fix this resource we need to fix the conversion tool. It is scheduled to happen but we haven't been able to begin work on it yet.

So...does this mean that all faithlife Ebooks are potentially unreliable?

This is the first time we've ever encountered something like this. Likely it has to do with how the source epub was formatted and we need to tweak our conversion tools to handle this scenario better.

All books (except one) are potentially unreliable independent of publisher and distributor.

The good news is that ten of the "Case For..." titles by Lee Strobel are on the Ebook site now! But, it looks like the descriptions got messed up in the process. Thanks for letting us know! This one is fixed now. I'll work on the others!
