Hello,
I am trying to use a VEVO video in Proclaim because Youtube will not allow it. However, when I put it in as a webpage, nothing happens. Is there a way to do this and get it to autoplay?
Blessings, Bob
Actually, after some time it finally started but played a commercial which will not work for us, but did nothing else.
If it is a problem, I was able to download the video and can use that. But using the website might be nice.
You have to assume that embedding a YouTube video might include ads. Proclaim can't block them. If that's not acceptable, downloading/uploading is the only option (assuming you have a licence/permission to do that).
Hey Bob,
These tips here might help you out with your Vevo video's, but Mark was right you may have to just download the video to get it to play correctly.
I do apologize for the inconvenience.
Oh, I'm sorry, I had seen that but didn't consider as something to do with VEVO. Nonetheless, with ads playing first, the download is better.
Thanks!
I think you are right with the download option, but I haven't seen any ads or anything when using a Youtube video, but VEVO could be different. Unfortunately you said Youtube wasn't a route for this video.
Note: That screenshot was for Vimeo, but thought it could have the same affect with VEVO videos.
No, YouTube has it but they won't play it in Proclaim because it is from VEVO. Here's a screenshot.
I have seen this before and usually means certain videos have some sort of domain-level whitelist or blacklist applied to them. Usually done by the content owner.
This blog post might help with some questions or information regarding it: https://youtube-eng.googleblog.com/2011/12/understanding-playback-restrictions_28.html More just for your personal use or information you may seek.
Long story short, downloading the video is your best bet : )
Thanks
