Blurb: "Origins publishes texts from the Vatican, pope, bishops, Congress, Senate, Supreme Court and church leaders around the world. So much appears in Origins - some 225 texts yearly: texts in the news; noteworthy texts on the church's mission. You'll definitely appreciate Origins' depth and scope."

I would love these in logos/verbum.

Good suggestion!  They have a lot more product offerings for digital than I recall with the periodical I would read regularly in grad school.  Licensing might be a bit tricky since they are just aggregating other text sources.

Yes, it may well be difficult re licensing.

I note that origins makes there back catalogue available online so they must at least have permissions for that.

I am loathe to suggest this, but I would be very happy to pay for a subscription that gave me current versions as well as the back catalogue.

I also remember reading this assiduously in Seminary, now 25 years ago. It is very often referred to in footnotes as we did not have the easy access to translated church texts as we have now.

I'll keep Origins in mind as I think about new licensing opportunities.

My grad school days are now 15 years past (Systematics and Monastic Studies at St. John's University's School of Theology), but I too recall citing origins on more than one occasion.  Though by 2003, the Vatican's website already had a lot of documents online--as I was citing those too.
