Love it! One thing I'm confused about - it's defaulting to using the Dictionary of Classical Hebrew, but I have a few other lexicons that are prioritised above that (HALOT, Lexham analytical lexicon, NIDOTTE) - do you know why that might be?

Hey James, should be using a prioritized resource. Can you confirm a couple of things:

    1. Does this happen regardless of which word you are looking up?
    2. Are you online or offline?
    3. Which lexicons do you have downloaded?
    4. What is the source resource and verse/word where you are experiencing this?

    1. Yes, any word

    2. Both online and offline (with app closed in between or left open)

    3. All the higher-prioritised ones I mentioned along with DCH and a couple of others - not sure if you need more detail than that?

    4. It’s happening from LHB, BHS, and Hebrew Bible: Anderson Forbes Analyzed text - all the Hebrew bibles I’ve tried so far.

Removing DCH from the priority list altogether does cause the app to use another resource (CHAL now), but that one was even further down my priority list.

Removing DCH from the priority list altogether does cause the app to use another resource (CHAL now), but that one was even further down my priority list.

Having removed DCH, CHAL and TLOT from the prioritisation list, HALOT is coming out on top every time now (which is what I was hoping for at this point). To be honest, my priority list was a mess anyway - I just kept adding to it when I got more resources, without ever removing anything.

But to be clear on my initial issue, HALOT was at the top of my prioritisation list before and it wasn't coming up till I removed items further down the list.

I'm happy to test anything you like tomorrow evening if you want to look at a "proper" fix (I won't have access to my laptop again till then), but if it's just for my sake, I'm happy with the changes I've made to get it working.

I, for one, would appreciate a proper fix because I want to keep CHALOT in my prioritization but want the lookup to pull from TDOT which is at the top of my list. I too am glad to help in any way I can!

I'm sorry if I'm asking in the wrong forum. I'm not a beta tester (although I would love to be) and I'm trying  to use the offline word lookup feature and I cannot figure out how to do it. I'm using 6.4.0 on iPhone X. I have all 8000+ resources downloaded on my phone. When I go offline, and I do a word lookup it opens up ASBN and not a lexicon. When I'm offline, it does open the lexicon's that I've prioritized, but not when I'm offline. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

You should create a new thread in the non-beta forum

When I'm offline, it does open the lexicon's that I've prioritized, but not when I'm offline.

When you are online it works, but not offline, right? I haven't quite figured it out either!

I have all 8000+ resources downloaded on my phone

That is not recommended! Many problems can occur, and the "best" fix for many problems is a complete reinstall.

    Thank you. I just did.

That was the only reason I bought an iPhone X 256GB. To have all my library with me at all times.  With that many resources, it isn't really possible to download only the ones I use since there are too many too know and manipulate them.  I thought the point of "download all" was to have all your resources always available — I'm surprised it's not recommended. What do you do?

The offline capabilities are very limited... most searches are performed online.

    What do you do?

I use my laptop for "study" and my iPad for reading. My iPhone is largely for devotional use and small studies. I have around 100 "all purpose" (study bibles, all in one commentaries) and favorite resources downloaded.

I thought the point of "download all" was to have all your resources always available

There is a reason the "download all" button is hidden! There is a good purpose for it, however. You can filter your library for a certain tag (i.e. "mobile favorites"). When you are filtered and click "download all," only those resources are downloaded.

    I'm surprised it's not recommended.

I am not a FL employee, but at least a couple FL mobile team members have said so. There are some other forum members who strongly disagree with me... but there are also some who USED to disagree with me, but no longer do so. [;)]

Well I could tell you what I do Matus but then I am likely to be in a completely different situation to you.

I live in the UK where the vast majority of people (not area) have access to Fibre Wi-Fi well over 50 megabits per second. I live in an area well covered by 4g mobile signal and the data plans available mean that I rarely have to consider the amount of data I am using.

Therefore I keep minimal resources on my phone and iPad because all the rest of my library is only a blink or two of the eyelid away.

Like Alabama I use my ageing laptop in those locations where I don't have either wi-fi or 4G or (as is often the case) in churches that I want to set up a personal network in without internet connection.

But that is me, and I am privileged to live in a country where these things are mostly available.

You on the other hand my not have access to wi-fi or 4G at decent speeds or with reliable stability.

In which case your usage of your portable devices may need to be different.

The 'Catch 22' is that if something goes pear shaped and you have to re-install all your resources on the phone will disappear and you won't have the internet available to re-download them.

I'm not seeing the updates in Testflight. The latest available is 6.4.0.103 for Logos: Bible Study and reading and 6.4.0.102 for FL Ebooks and Study Bible.

Is this a bit off topic for this thread Kevin?

Yes. This is the continuation of an old thread announcing 6.3.1 some months ago, not announcing a new beta release

Thanks for sharing Mike. I wish we had more wifi here. I haven't really had any issues on my phone and the only time I've reinstalled has been to downgrade the IOS.
