CRASH: Opening Clipping document from Favorites menu

I've been able to repeatedly crash L4 beta 5 by opening my favorites and selecting one of the clipping documents stored under one of my main headings. See log file attached. (I looked to see if this had been reported and couldn't find it, so I hope I am not repeating a report.)

Hi Scott,
I'm not able to reproduce this in 4.0bB5. If you remove that Clippings favorite and re-add it, does it open without crashing?
Thanks,

Melissa,
Apparently, I am simply unable to open that one clippings document. A different one opens from both the file menu and the favorties, but that one will not open from either location. I hate to lose the information in the one. It had a lot of stuff in it.

Is there any way I can delete a file from my system and have it "sync" back on from the "cloud"? (I'm not sure I'm making sense here, but since I believe this item sync's, it should exist in uncorrupted for somewhere, shouldn't it? Just a thought.

The problem is a bug in how the Clippings document loads data off disk, not with corruption in your local copy. All versions of the file (that exist in the cloud) would be equally affected. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a workaround that will let you open that document until we fix the bug that causes the crash.

Thanks Bradley, I am in no hurry to open it (within reason). It was personal study and nothing pressing, at that. To be clear, you are saying that at some point I will again be able to open this file, correct? That's great.
Thanks for the hard work. . . Tell the boss I said to give you a raise. [:D]

Yes, it appears (from the log you posted) that it should be possible for us to write code that anticipates this problem and allows the Clippings document to be opened.

Any updates on this problem?
I am running 4.0a SR-3 (4.01.3.5180) and as of today, two of my old clippings files crash Logos faithfully as soon as trying to open them. This is not good - in the middle of writing a paper for seminary... :-( .
Help, please.
Blessings,

This was fixed in 4.0b Beta 6. The current beta 12 is stable, so you might consider installing the beta. Please read the important information in this forum thread beforehand, which also includes the link to download: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/8883.aspx.
