OT: Nieuwe editie Herziene Statenvertaling

We have not ruled out funding this resource, however before I am willing to commit to this there is still a couple questions that will have to be answered on our end (mostly around text files, etc.). I am hoping to hear back from Jongbloed on this soon and once we have that we will have better files that will allow us to make a better educated decision about this. As one of the people specifically tasked with shepherding new language products at Logos, I am as familiar with the chicken or egg question about resources in new languages as almost anybody and I share your frustration that often comes with the Pre-Pub process for a completely new language. We are working internally on ways to alleviate that as well and I am certain that across the strong Dutch advocates we have (both internally and externally) we will be able to find a solution for the HSV.

Any news on this. Looking forward to use this important translation directly in Logos instead of using third party programs and switching-to-and-back.

If we can help in any way, Thomas, e.g. by e-mailing Jongbloed to increase the pressure on delivering the files, let us know. I've asked them previously and I bet if more of us will mail or call them, the process will go faster, I'm sure.

Sorry, I assumed it was implied that I had asked and was waiting for an answer. And no, since the person needed is on vacation(and this doesn't refer to my contact, but rather the originator of the files), so there is not much that can be done.

Het geeft te denken dat BW de HSV al enige tijd heeft (sinds versie 10).

Waarom nu al die moeite?

Ligt het aan Logos of misschien aan Jongbloed? Vind het van die laatste partij geen getuigenis dat ze zo lang over doen om duidelijkheid te geven.

Dit is mijn visie. Het geeft te denken.

For what it is worth..this thread generated almost 30K of views. Not sure if this stands for unique IP addresses or each view.  But it gives possibly an idea of how important this Herziene Statenvertaling is for Logos users...

The unfortunate news is that I don't have any news. I sent another email recently but haven't gotten a reply, but I am hoping to make some progress next week at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Ik heb inmiddels van Jongbloed begrepen dat de files een poos geleden aangeleverd zijn. Enige nadere informatie zou best fijn zijn.[:)]

Is it possible to give us an update? Do we really have to wait for Logos 9 or 10 to get HSV released? I would like to have it in Logos 8, if possible...

Yes! I know it has been a long wait, but I promise you we will have the HSV in 2019. We are still working through some of the L8 content, which has delayed some content, but the HSV will happen.

Verander de locatie van Windows in bijvoorbeeld Verenigde  Staten. Dan kan je vanuit die store de app wel downloaden.

Het is inderdaad een woestijnervaring, maar ik blijf vertrouwen houden.

Op 27 mei heb ik in Giessen kort gesproken met Ben Misja, de andere Duitstalige Logos-medewerker. Hij kon niets zeggen over de voortgang van de HSV - het is ook niet zijn afdeling - maar hij was er wel op voorbereid dat de Nederlanders in de zaal hierover vragen zouden stellen. 

Was Giessen interessant? Ik het erover geaarzeld te gaan.

Ik een poos terug Thomas (en Bob. Pr.) persoonlijk gemaild. Toen kreeg ik een heel positief bericht. Maar dat is al weer een half jaar geleden.

Het seminar in Giessen was bedoeld voor beginners. Ik ben samen met een collega erheen gegaan en wij hebben een prima dag gehad, maar het was zonde van je tijd geweest als je het niet met iets anders kon combineren. Ik weet zeker dat jij als gevorderde gebruiker eenzelfde instructieavond zou kunnen organiseren.

Ben Misja raadde mij ook aan om Thomas persoonlijk te mailen. Ik ben er uiteindelijk niet toe gekomen om dat te doen, maar zo na de vakantie is misschien wel een goede tijd om dat alsnog te doen.

Voor wat het waard is een +1: ook ik zou graag voortgang zien op dit vlak. Pas onlangs overgestapt vanaf OliveTree, waar ik veel meer Nederlandse vertalingen gewend was. De HSV zou hier echt een verrijking zijn. Met reverse interlinear… dat zou echt fantastisch zijn.

Welkom op het Logos-forum! Als je overgestapt bent van Olive Tree zal het inderdaad wennen zijn dat de HSV en BGT niet in Logos beschikbaar zijn. Ik heb zelf de HSV als persoonlijk boek aangemaakt, maar het nadeel daarvan is dat je het niet op mobiele apparaten kunt gebruiken.

Een reverse interlinear bij de HSV zou een enorm hulpmiddel zijn. Niettemin hoop ik dat Logos je ook nu al zal helpen bij je studie van de Bijbel.

This was your last post regarding getting HSV live in Logos in 2018. After some posts with updates on the process, you promised that HSV was going to happen in 2019...

Ever since...nothing.. No HSV. No updates. No posts of you regarding HSV. Just nothing....

I am wondering: is this the way Logos wants to communicate?  Because I don’t think so, could you please chime in with a new update!?

Still looking forward - eagerly and with some impatience - to have HSV in my Logos library. 

Hi, Hier ook eentje die 4 dagen geleden is overgestaps van Olive Tree naar Logos... Ik voel me soms verdwaald in een groot snoepjespakhuis :-)

Maar inderdaad, de HSV, wat mis ik die hier. Nu maar een beetje heen en weer klikken tussen de Statenvertaling en de KJV... zucht.. maar broeders houdt goede hoop :-)

Overigens heb ik de HSV wel in de pre-order gezet... gewoon om de zaak een beetje de goede richting op te duwen :-)

I will buy the platinum version of logos 9 on 26 january 2022. A huge thing is that dutch is my mothertongue and there are nearly no dutch bibles available. I know EFT Heverlee and KUL Leuven are using logos. I would suggest to look into statenvertaling, which has no copyright and is whidely available, there is also statenvertaling met kanttekeningen, which has the original commentary from the composers of that bible. A lot of persons are catholic and use willibrord, so for them that is the only correct bible, it is endorsed by the catholic church. As a preacher of course all other bibles proposed in this forum are needed, i always compare.
