[resolved] Recurring Blank Logos Icon

I used Migration Assistant to move my applications and files to a new 12" MacBook. Everything seems to be fine except for a recurring blank Logos icon. I removed it from the dock, launched Logos from Spotlight, and the icon appeared again, but as normal. Now, I noticed again tonight that it had reverted to its blank look.

Is there any way to fix this? This has been the only oddity to come out of moving everything to the new MacBook.

Well, I hate that I started a new thread on a partially covered topic. I did search for "disappearing icon" or something like that before I posted.

I had noticed the shortcut on my previous Mac, but I have to wonder why the icon only went blank after the migration to the newer computer?

Your experience seems to mirror that of one poster near the end of the referenced thread.

Here's a one up from the rest of the discussion. I have read the entire thread, and my icon actually goes one step further. On my 2015 Macbook Pro 15" the icon is fine until I open Logos 6. At that time the icon on the doc switches to a document shortcut icon, meaning a blank white "sheet of paper" with the shortcut arrow at the bottom left. No Logos "cross in a magnifying glass" at all. If I remove it from the dock, and then put it back from the applications folder, it looks fine until I open Logos 6. At that point it's back to square one. No big deal, but annoying and ugly! BTW, I just migrated to the new macbook Pro. This behavior was not present on my previous Macbook Pro 2011 running Yosemite. Go figure!

Since your problem is somewhat different than the original "shortcut icon" in the dock, it may or may not have been corrected in 6.4 Beta 3. With that beta my dock icon no longer has an alias indicator.

6.4 is set to release to all stable users on June 29th and will include a bug fix for the Mac icon. Please let us know if updating to 6.4 will resolve this issue. Thank you! [:)]
