I am half way through NT331. Since I started the course I had access to my first edition Moo Encountering the Book of Romans: A Theological Survey. Yesterday on December 21, 2015 the textbook updated and when it did I no longer have access to any edition of the resource in the course. Can first edition users confirm or deny this is the case with you?

I'm on my iPad right now.

the links to the first edition still work for me on it.  No links to the second edition are showing up yet, so the new update has not hit the mobile side of it yet.

I will not be able to check my computer until late this evening.

I hope they don't forget some people are not updated to the second diction yet.

You might want to send Miles an email and ask him directly.

Which resources, EXACTLY do you have a license for? Did you purchase the first edition?

I know there are other threads on this. Try searching for Encountering Romans (exact name of text book). If you purchased the 1st edition they may help you out on the 2nd edition some, not sure. But I do know you are not the first to have this issue.

Can confirm this is a problem: Sad

  • As you describe, I have a license for ENCBKROMANS by Moo
  • NT331 now links only to ENCBKROMANSMOO for which I am advised: "You don't have a license to view this resource"

However, what I find when I click on the link to visit Logos.com to see what it might cost to get this resource, what I get is:

If it is too difficult for Logos to link to both of these, depending on which the user owns, then I would seriously suggest they give a free license to ENCBKROMANSMOO , if that is indeed what the second edition file is called, to anyone who has both ENCBKROMANS and NT331.

But then again perhaps someone messed up the links and that is not the real name of the resource?

Is anyone who has the second edition encountering a problem accessing EBR references from NT331 since the NT331MOO file update dated December 15th?

Myke,

Logos sold two versions of the first edition of this book.   One had the pictures from the dead tree version and they had copy right issues with it and took the pictures out and sold a first edition without the pictures.

Matt, was in on that previous discussion, I believe.   Now, since they add links to the second edition of the book, the links to the first edition are not working for him.

Hoepfully, Miles will see this thread and can comment.

I own the first edition which worked for the last couple months until the update to NT331 yesterday. Now it shows I do not own either edition. Before, the second edition was locked to me and the first edition was open because I have the first edition. Yesterday's update now has both editions locked to me.

Matt Hamrick:
I no longer have access to any edition of the resource in the course

I can confirm this bug. Miles Curtis (FL employee) stated that they would not remove access to the previous version, but apparently someone dropped the ball. I guessed at his email address, and dropped him a note. Hopefully this will be rectified. Part of the problem probably stems from the fact that FL sold two different versions of the original resource.

Just saw this thread. I'm out of town for Christmas, so I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing we accidentally removed one of the links to the first edition of Moo's commentary. I've forwarded the issue to our Content Production department, and I'll follow up when I get back in the office. We'll make sure we get the resource updated so all links work, although I'm not sure when. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The work around is easy. Just load the edition you own and click the Control F to open the find box. Type the topic in NT311 in the find box and search for it and it will find it then just read it

I have quit the course until this is fixed. I was halfway through when this happened and using the work around frankly is a waste of time.

Sorry for the frustration. We've been working on restoring the links that got removed, and the updated resource will be available next week.
