Logos Mobile Ed is proud to announce a new partnership with Ashland Theological Seminary on a graduate diploma that can be pursued entirely from a distance and uses Logos Bible Software.

Within this accredited diploma program, Ashland offers a number of courses that involve Mobile Ed as a primary teaching component. You can earn graduate credit for these courses, whether you want to complete the entire five-course diploma or just take a few Mobile Ed courses with additional live instruction, guidance, and assessment from Ashland professors, such as Dr. David deSilva.

There are two accredited courses being offered this fall (starting October 3) that include Mobile Ed.

New Testament Introduction will be taught by Dr. Russell S. Morton and includes NT101 Introducing New Testament: Its Structure and Story (Dr. Lynn Cohick), and a brand new Mobile Ed course, NT201 The Cultural World of the New Testament (Dr. deSilva).

Life Between the Testaments is taught by Dr. deSilva and includes BI291 The Apocrypha (Dr. deSilva). This course is an elective in the program and may not be offered again in the coming year.

Both of these courses offer an amazing opportunity to pair Mobile Ed courseware with live teaching and guidance from Ashland’s scholars. The New Testament studies diploma is a great way to deepen your knowledge of the New Testament or get a head start on a master’s degree with Ashland.

This is great news! I've been hoping to hear that things would progress this way! I hope that eventually Logos can offer an entire degree through their Mobile Ed classes and through partnerships with other universities. It would be so wonderful if it were possible for people to be able to take Logos Mobile Ed courses for credit and finish a degree completely online.

I have long felt Logos has something huge with its Mobile Ed. I am actually doing a project school that will be implemented in our area doing something similar, but without accreditation. using Mobile Ed as my hub and adding quizzes, exams, and papers developing a full seminary program.

This is awesome.  My question is, what about tuition cost? Do we need to pay even thought we already own some of Mobile Ed courses? That will be my deciding factor. It was a great opportunity to enroll Ashland Theological Seminary program with a less cost of the tuition.

I just talked with a representative from Ashland about what they could do for people who already owned a Mobile Ed course used in this program.  I'm happy to report (with permission) that they would offer a $100 scholarship for each of your Mobile Ed courses used in each Ashland course you take.  So if you own both NT101 and NT201, then you would get a $200 scholarship toward the New Testament Introduction course.  If you own BI291, you would get a $100 scholarship toward Life and Literature Between the Testaments.

Am I correct in concluding that this partnership is no longer in effect since the website link is expired? A search for "Faithlife" on Ashland's website doesn't lead me anywhere either.

Are there any plans to revive this or enter into a partnership with other accredited seminaries and/or graduate schools?

Ashland no longer has that program.  However, there are other seminaries and Christina schools that use Mobile Ed content within their courses.  Western Seminary is one of the these and Grace Theological Seminary will be soon launching a program as well.  Trinity Western University has a really creative accredited leadership program that uses Mobile Ed courses as the primary teaching element (entirely online.)

This summer we are offering a partnered program with Western Seminary.  It is a weeklong program (unaccredited) and is taught by a Western Seminary professor.   There are a few days left for early-bird pricing.
