Navigation Bug is persisting.

Hi all. I'm updated to Logos Bible Study 31.3.32 and on MacOS Sonoma 14.3.1.

Weirdly, the navigation bug did not affect me in Logos 30.x, but just started the last few weeks. I notice that the release notes of 31.0 indicate this bug was fixed, and this thread was closed.

Has anyone else experienced this bug persist? Is there another update I'm missing? Any help? Thanks in advance!

    What is the navigation bug?

EDIT: I see you posted a link.

I am not experiencing this. Which specific resources are you trying to do this with?

The bug you linked to was specifically about having typed something and then the default suggestion was on the wrong item in the list of suggestions, even though the correct item was shown in the list.

If it's the same thing, then the reference you are looking for should actually show up in the list of suggestions, but the default (the one that is picked when you just hit enter without looking) is a suggestion for the current entry. If you wait for the list of suggestions to show up, you should be able to pick the correct one from the list.

If that doesn't match what you are experiencing, then you are seeing a different problem.

Either way, we need more details about what you are seeing.

Ah, I see I may have misunderstood what others were experiencing then, though it seems similar.

What I'm experiencing does not happen 100% of the time, but definitely a majority of the time I try to use the navigation field. It also happens across all resources I've used recently (Bibles, commentaries of various sets, various types of books), but I will use the Bible as an example.

Right now I have an ESV opened to Hebrews 3:1, and when I type "Genesis 1" into the navigation field and hit enter, nothing happens and the navigation field simply resets to "Hebrews 3:1." But if I wait for the field to populate and click Genesis 1 with my mouse, it will take me to Genesis 1.

Yes, this seems very similar, though it happens with much more regularity in my case. Looking at the release dates, it appears to have started for me roughly the same time 31.0 was released, though I'm not 100% scientifically positive of that.

Here's a link to a short recording of it happening, if that's helpful. It does seem to work better if I wait a moment before hitting enter, though I just noticed after recording that the suggestion drop down did not open up as it usually does.

I'm having exactly the same problem as James. I also need to pause for a second and then it works. I think it's been happening for a few weeks, but I'm not sure exactly when it started. At first I just assumed I had mistyped what I was searching for, but that's not the case. Once I hit [ENTER] the text I entered in the navigation field disappears. I'm on version 31.3.32.

Thanks for the recording. That does look like the problem we've seen, but your description and recording gave me the clue about typing speed. I can consistently recreate this if I type "jn 1" really fast, but not if I type slower. I'll add this information to the case.
