I am working on a PB to share of the Denver OT and NT Annotated Bibliographies (recommendations) that can be found here in two separate documents:

http://www.denverseminary.edu/resources/the-denver-journal/

I am linking each book cited to the appropriate resource in Logos.  This may take a while, but I only have about 68 pages to go Big Smile  Books that are not available would be linked to a search on Logos.com for that book.

What I need is actual resource links for books that I don't have in my library, so I will be posting resources in this thread, and if you have them, I would greatly appreciate it if you would open the book to the title page and copy the location url to this thread.  Please be sure to put the title of the book in the post as well so I will know which work you are citing.  Once it is finished, I will post it.

I assume that it is ok since it is freely available and all links will go to either the seminary or Logos, but I have sent an email to Dr. Hess to make sure that it is ok.

The video for how to copy the link is here.

Note that some that I put will be in Pre-Pub, so ignore those.

I will go back and remove works that people supply the information to.

Thank you both.  I have added all of your new links, and as of now I am on page 16 of 74.  That sounds pretty bad, but I am not yet to the commentaries, and when I get there it should go a little faster.  It is a lot harder looking up all of the theologies/grammars/etc...

I have found also that Logos uses previews for books that are not in the library.  That will make this document even more useful, as you can peruse the suggestions and decide which ones are best for you.

Thanks for all the help!  The Vyrso link did work, as it opened up the preview for the book when I clicked the link.

It seems that I can no longer go back and edit my earliest posts, so I will do a repost each time with the remaining volumes.

OK, the only previously listed volume that I need that is not in Pre-pub is

Are you sure that one is even available in Logos (or was at one time)? I can't find it on the Logos website or Vyrso. They do have Brueggemann's Theology of the Old Testament: Testimony, Dispute, Advocacy, but that's a different book. And his Old Testament Theology: Essays on Structure, Theme, and Text is in pre-pub, but that's a different book too.

No, it looks like I might have mistaken it for Old Testament Theology: Essays on Structure, Theme, and Text in Pre-Pub.

You have been very helpful!  I have about 50 pages to go.  I will start at Exodus tonight.

Thank you all for the help thus far!

    New ones:

Unfortunately I don't have any of the revised edition volumes of this, so you're probably also missing the links to the other volumes you asked for.

I gave you the link to this one before under Ecclesiastes, but here is the link to the Song of Songs portion of that volume:

Blenkinsopp, Joseph. Isaiah 40-55. Doubleday, 2000; Isaiah 56-66. Doubleday, 2003. AB.

Wonder why they don't also include the first volume? I'll give you all three links:

    Isa 1-39: logosres:anchor23ais

    Isa 40-55: logosres:anchor23bis

    Isa 56-66: logosres:anchor23cis

Paul, Shalom M. Isaiah 40-66: Translation and Commentary. EEC. Eerdmans, 2012.

I must have missed this one! I have the other ECC volumes. And note that it's ECC (Eerdmans Critical Commentary), not EEC.

That's ok.  I believe that this is the only volume recommended from the set so far.

I am not sure either, and I have been reluctant to add the missing titles, since at heart the document is the recommendation of the original author.  Dr. Hess was very nice when giving permission, but wanted approval on any additions.  He also said that they update at least once a year, and asked that this document be updated around the same schedule.  I figure that they will add the missing volumes, so I don't think that I will add them until they officially add them.

Paul, Shalom M. Isaiah 40-66: Translation and Commentary. EEC. Eerdmans, 2012.

Good catch!  I changed it on their document and added it to my change list.

You are correct;  this one slipped by!

Also, I added some more volumes in the previous post while you were working through the last ones.  I really appreciate your help, and please feel free to take a break at any time.  I don't want you to feel tied to this.

I'm guessing you want the Amos section of this one this time. You listed it above with the Hosea resources, but this is after the Joel listings, so it must be for Amos.

    Baker, David W. Joel-Obadiah-Malachi. NIVAC. Zondervan, 2006.

I'm guessing you want the Obadiah section of this one this time. You listed it above with the Joel resources, but this is after the Amos listings, so it must be for Obadiah.

You duplicated Crenshaw at the bottom of the list. I presume it was because it came after the (intentional) duplication of Baker.

Yes, you were correct, and just so you kind of understand how I'm doing this, I am working with the Word document two pages at a time side-by-side.  As I finish linking the books that I own and the searches for the books that aren't available, I just go through and copy and paste the entries that have no links attached.  This does make it easy to overlook both books that have come before, as well as books that I skipped on purpose because they are in Pre-Pub.

You didn't need any for Malachi?

Woohoo! Now on to the New Testament.

No, I ended up just using the ones that you already supplied, and I also realized that I have the NIVAC Prophets volumes, which I already used to link for Daniel and others, so I don't know why I asked for those two last ones.  [:$]

I started on the NT, but I think I am going to have to take a break tonight, so I think I will give you the rest of the night off.  [:P]

I reiterate that this is ECC not EEC. Compounding the issue is that the first three letters of Logos's internal code for this resource happen to be eec, but I think that's not an error, just a coincidence. It looks like the code is made up from EErdmans CRiTical COMMentary.

Yes, I changed it in all references as well as the commentary abbreviations key page.  Thanks for catching that!

    Thanks again elnwood!

I believe that all of the OT links are filled, so here are the first NT related needs:

Black, David A. New Testament Textual Criticism: A Concise Guide. Grand Rapids: Baker, 1994.

Omanson, Roger L. A Textual Guide to the Greek New Testament. Stuttgart: German Bible Society, 2006.

Wegner, Paul D. A Student’s Guide to Textual Criticism of the Bible: Its History, Methods and Results. Downers Grove: IVP, 2006.

Blass, Friedrich, Albert Debrunner, and Robert W. Funk. A Greek Grammar of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1961.

Porter, Stanley E. Idioms of the Greek New Testament. Sheffield: Sheffield Academic Press, 1992.

Wallace, Daniel B. Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics. Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1996.

Young, Richard A. Intermediate New Testament Greek. Nashville: Broadman & Holman, 1994.

Burge, Gary M., Lynn H. Cohick, and Gene L. Green. The New Testament in Antiquity. Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2009.

Elwell, Walter A. and Robert W. Yarbrough. Encountering the New Testament and Readings from the First-Century World [with CD-ROM]. Grand Rapids: Baker, 2005.  On this one, I see that Encountering the New Testament is available, but does it include the second part, Readings from the First-Century World?  If not, just include the first part.

Johnson, Luke T. The Writings of the New Testament. Minneapolis: Fortress, 2010.
