BUG: Cited By panel really doesn't scale

Or more specifically, the "Show Collections" section of the Cited By Panel does not scale. Even if I Float the Cited by Panel and make it full screen, it is virtually impossible to make changes in the Show Collections section, because there is so much there!
Try moving/changing the order of the Collections by dragging - first you have to find it, then drag it to another section. Even when maximized on my screen, only 6 collections show - given that I have hundreds of tags, which show as collections, and additionally many collections, this just does not work well at all. It can take minutes, being prone to mistakes, to drag a collection to the top of the list, for example.
Given that only 6 show of hundreds, it can be very difficult to find the collection I am looking for - they are not alphabetized, I don't know how the order is determined, and there are no filter or search tools - and scrolling through a huge list when only 6 show at a time is extremely problematic.
You are somewhat forced to go in here as well, if you add Collections - the default seems to be to add any new Collections in here, so you may have to turn them off in the Cited By tool if you don't want new collections to show - and they don't always seem to be located at the bottom of the list! I don't know how it decides where to place them in this list.
This section needs to provide much better tools to find, sort, edit and change order, to keep up with libraries that are growing, along with growth in numbers of collections and tags. Thanks.

Definitely! The sort is a big headache. Initially you think they used the phoenician alphabet, only to find it mixed up further down. It's very easy to make mistakes.
I wonder if Graham's or Mark's PCs show display more entries. Mark demo'd yesterday that Logos reduces the panel sizes if you cheaped out on the screen.

only 6 collections show
You're lucky. I only see 5. Must be a parity issue.

You're right. It's very odd. First comes the ones I've deliberately dragged to the top. Then comes all my older Collections, in the correct order. So far so good. But then comes Series, with myratings and mytags simply inserted on 'm', and the odd newer Collection inserted as well. And then it starts over on 'a' again, with more newly added series, and the odd inserted newer mytag and Collection. And again. And again. I lost track of how many times it started over on 'a'.
Below the ones I have deliberately moved myself, the list should have the same order as in the Collections dropdown in Library, and preferably the same visible divisions as well.
And there should be a right-click option to Move to the top, which automatically puts it below the last of the manually moved ones. (And, I guess, a Remove from the top that puts it back in its place in the automatic list.)

Other browsers may have this too, but in Chrome if you open up the Bookmark manager, it goes full screen, and it has everything you could want - a filter field, easy to move things around, etc. This could be a nice model to copy for the Collections list.
It's possible this type of window is needed in other places too as Logos scales up.

Thank you Don for stating my frustrations with this feature. You have listed all the reasons I decided Cited by was a total waste of programming skill and stopped using it.
One suggestion. If possible edit your original post and prefix BUG to the thread title.

Agree with you Don. [Y]
Someday, I hope Logos will re-design the Cited-By tool. See also this thread from 2012: Cited By - Collections

Good! Believe the upcoming beta of 5.2a is scheduled to include improvements to Cited by, but not sure what they are.
UPDATE: Does not appear that the beta will be addressing the concerns mentioned in this thread—546597.aspx
