I drew attention back in March (in the General forum) to the fact that searching for the surnames of various Reformed authors didn't bring up any of their books.
Most of these now seem to have been fixed apart from the one CP resource I most desperately want: The Presbyterian's Armoury by George Gillespie. Perhaps one of the reasons it's struggling is that if people search for 'Gillespie' all that comes up are books by Terri Gillespie, who is part of the Messianic Jewish Movement.
Here's a few endorsements of Gillespie's 'Dispute against the English Popish Ceremonies' which is only one of many books available as part of this set:
"Gillespie’s famous book is a vitally important work in the history of the Scottish Reformation, but it is much more than simply that. It has abiding and profound value for all who are committed to knowing, applying, and following the Word of God on the proper worship of the church." - W. Robert Godfrey, President and Professor of Church History, Westminster Seminary California.
"This volume, along with William Ames’ Fresh Suit Against Human Ceremonies, is one of the foundational texts of the Reformed tradition on worship." - R. Scott Clark.
Gillespie's Assertion of the Government of the Church of Scotland is also vitally needed today and would bring much light to debates such as the 2-office v. 3-office view of the eldership:
"Gillespie's Assertion was last printed in Edinburgh a century and a half ago, in The Presbyterian's Armoury. Alongside his English Popish Ceremonies, recently reprinted, this is the book of Gillespie's most requiring republication in our generation." - Sherman Isbell, Adjunct Professor, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.
