    Hi hi,

Great visuals and new UI is refreshing... Do work on the funcationlity! :)

    Just my feedback.

    1. Need the search & filter parameters to be more robust. unlocked=no, search by author, price, etc, filter by genre, deals, etc. Many are used to logos website functionality.

    2. Book content preview, reviews missing. Description is too brief...

    3. Pricing on home-page for featured books to be added. Bring back the spotlight that summarise the deals.

    4. (Just edited and added) must want to use a tool to check your dead links. I was clicking around and found quite a few pages going 404. The featured free book by Daniel Bush.. "About" Section below links don't work.

I'm personally very used to Logos site's functionality.  I shop on Vyrso cos the contents are mutually exclusive and I believe there's quite a lot of us around.. an integration of search (but co-branded or skinned differently) would be welcomed since the check-out still seems integrated. Yes, all the wish-list, saved for later would be good if it can be integrated into a simple profile.

Adrian has said this well, FL.  Please carefully consider.

What is the purpose of the name change - a marketing thing?

We may never find out, but this is likely. What does "Vyrso" mean? How long has Vyrso been out and there still are customers who regularly don't know that Vyrso is part of the Faithlife ecosystem... so changing the name makes sense.

Will the books have the same search capabilities as Logos?

These books are "bare bones" ebooks, rather than "value added" ones.

If not will the pricing be more competitive?

Generally, the prices are set by the publishers, although there seems to be more than one system* for that to happen. Consequently, some publisher's prices seem to change more quickly than others. The particular book you referenced does appear to be out of line... I am not sure why. However, Amazon isn't a good indicator of what the price "should" be as they frequently have "loss leaders."

Kobo has the "list" price at $19.99, but is selling for $15.99; Nook has it for $11.99. However, I picked the book up from Vyrso for $1.99 when the publisher had a sale. I suggest following books on eReaderIQ. It won't follow Vyrso, but you can get a notification about Amazon and use that as an alert that it <might> go on sale via Vyrso/FaithlifeEBooks.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for providing your feedback.

I've gone through this thread and the other threads on the forum to make sure that all of your feedback gets passed along to the developers. We know that we need to make some improvements, especially around the search functionality, and we are working to get that for you as soon as we can.

We are excited to be linked more closely to the Faithlife brand, and we are working to bring you more books in the Faithlife Ebooks catalog, more deals on those books, and more functionality to the website.

Thank you for using the site, and please keep posting as you notice other functionality that you would like to see. Thanks!

I have one more for the wish list:

    • Please allow paying with Logos store credit.

Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out yet or not, (if so my apologies), but today I ordered a book from the Faithlife Ebooks website and there was an option to apply my Logos Credit at checkout. [:D]

    Hi there Natalie

Sorry to be a latecomer to this thread.

There is a terrific thread called "Logos for Children" which I think would be interesting reading for you as the FL eBooks marketing manager.

    See https://community.logos.com/forums/t/169162.aspx

In particular, it would be great to see more prominence on the Logos website to raise awareness amongst Logos users of FL eBooks.

Search tools for materials based on target/intended age groups (pre-school, elementary school, mid-school, high school) would really assist us parents as well as the opportunity to rate and review.

    Have a great weekend.

It's almost August, and searching and sort-feature still not working....

I used to buy plenty from Vyrso, but ever since it changed, i almost never buy anything from there because navigation is crazy terrible, like you guys just abandoned the site to die.

Not only that, you guys combined the books that are in logos.com to be included again in faithlife.ebooks. site.

Can someone please raise vyrso from the dead?

    Thank you

Just looked at 2 FL ebook ''pre-pubs.''  Both lacked blurbs.

Author search is still broken. For example, if you click the author link (e.g., Wendy Lawton), it performs a generic "Wendy" OR "Lawton" search in every field, leading to results that include:

    • other authors who happen to share the same first name, or
    • fictional characters from the book description who happen to share the same first name.

Goodreads reviews are also missing. Not sure why Vyrso could include them, but the new site doesn't.

Thanks for any improvements you can make!

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

As always, thanks for your feedback! I reached out to the development team to see where this is at. There was more significant work than we first realized in getting search back up to par. We are committed to a significant development investment in search, and that the development is actively underway now.

As for the descriptions in pre-pubs, our team is looking into it now. Thanks for your patience with this!

Here's a workaround to make the author search work:

    1. select the author from the list.

    2. remove the generic search result.

Can someone please explain the point of the different apps?

I've downloaded Faithlife Ebooks and most of my Logos library does not appear in this app.

Why would I want another app from the same company that does not allow me to see my whole library?

Are purchases made in Faithlife Ebooks added to the Logos library? It's obviously not happening the other way round. I really do NOT want yet another library. I already have Accordance, Olivetree and Tecarta.

    Shalom Simon!

Are purchases made in Faithlife Ebooks added to the Logos library?

Yes, every book that you purchase in Faithlife Ebooks - or in the Logos, Noet and Verbum stores - is automatically added to your Logos library.

There is no need to install any other app on your iOS or Android device if you have already installed the Logos Bible app,

Graham Criddle gives a more detailed explanation in the following post: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/140433/895769.aspx#895769

I've downloaded Faithlife Ebooks and most of my Logos library does not appear in this app.

If you get to Settings in the Faithlife Ebooks app you will see a toggle "Faithlife Ebooks Resources Only" - by default this is enabled and is why you won't be seeing most of your Logos library. If you disable this they will appear.

This was added to allow people to have a separate reading experience "away" from the more academic / study resources.

    Many thanks, this has helped.

Is Faithlife Ebooks a better reading app than logos? Does it provide a better experience? I've only ever used Logos as a reader app as there are quite a number of areas where I do not have internet and nearly all of the Logos app features require internet access.

Is Faithlife Ebooks a better reading app than logos?

The different apps are largely the same, with small tweaks for different demographics / clientele. The "Faithlife Ebooks" app (formerly Vyrso), is the most basic of the apps. It isn't a "bible study" app. The Verbum App is the most similar to the Logos Bible! app, but is geared towards Catholic users. The Faithlife app adds social media features, which some users would NOT want in their "Bible Study" app. The Noet app is geared towards a secular/literature audience.

If you don't want any of the other apps, there is no reason you would really need them. For most users, the Logos Bible! App and/or Verbum would be the single app they would need.

I have 4 of the apps on my iPad... for sake of convince. Verbum is main study app... I keep faithlife books on so i can quickly open and read from where i left off... Logos i have distinctly lutheran resources installed there so I can immediately open up it for an instant lutheran flavour and I keep FSB on to use as a quick demonstration of a secondary account with faithlife bible/logos basic installed to be able to demonstrate what you can get free of charge from Logos to help you study the Bible. I would suspect a great many may have Bible program/ebook program installed for said reasons... I have the 4 installed for my stated reasons.

I like the approach Dan - thanks for sharing.

One thing I don’t quite understand though - unless you run offline (and if you are using the same account) then all books will be available even if not locally downloaded. Can you expand on this please? Just curious!

I do run offline now and then... Logos (lutheran) is set up with certain lutheran specific resources installed. I have in it always open the esv paralleled to the lutheran study Bible... now that multiple workspace windows are available I usually have the NRSV tied to the New Interpreter's Bible {I know not a Lutheran only resource but a favourite with a few prominent Lutheran scholars} and another work space with a lutheran devotional. Verbum I try to keep most windows closed but the NRSV. Running my passage guides and such. Now this practice was started long before there was multiple work spaces. But it still works out to be convenient for my study habits.
