Please reconsider offering LN separately from Faithlife Connect. We really don't care to pay extra to rent books, courses, and TV. Thanks!
exactly my thoughts.

I am very discouraged, even more disillusioned, and even more distrustful that even if this works itself out over time to be a decent program, a new one will come along that's more complicated and more costly. It's just another money grab from a company that does not see customers as their primary focus. But I will stop complaining - I just cancelled everything I had on order. Nice job Faithlife.
I think your whole e-mail sums up my feeling. I've spent thousands on books but I feel this is just being forced upon us to make money rather than meet any genuine need I have. I have looked and I have over $10K in orders on pre-pub and community pricing and I an feeling like cancelling the lot! I'm going to wait for the e-mail tomorrow but I think tomorrow afternoon may se me being busy hitting cancel several hundred times.

Logos Now gave us 10% off libraries and 25% off feature set purchases. Have those benefits disappeared?
No.
No, as in a) you'll keep those discounts until your LN expires, or b) those discounts will continue in Faithlife Connect? If so, what tiers, please, offer those savings?
Chris, did this question get overlooked? I'm curious to know if there will be any equivalent library/feature set discounts offered by Faithlife Connect.
(Also since Faithlife Connect offers monthly pricing, will the monthly price tiers also provide discounts? It seems that LN moved to annual to prevent people from subscribing to LN for one month to save on their library/base package purchase.)
Thanks!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

And Chris, do we get something like dynamic pricing of this product. I will end up being kindly given access to 144 books, most of which i have already paid for so unless this is taken into account you will be charging me twice for the same book ?
We don't support Dynamic Pricing at this time for Faithlife Connect. But thank you for your feedback and we'll take it into consideration.
Wow. And you think this is ok because ?? .. Oh yea, you expect me to pay you money for nothing. Great deal ... for you !!!. I think i am out of here

You'll continue to enjoy these discounts on Logos 7 base packages. We don't have all the details figured out for Logos 8 yet, but we'll likely have special discounts available for Connect subscribers.

yes.

No one at FL sees a problem with charging us a rental fee for books we already own?

Yeah... [N]
I'm going to have to wait until I see my email but a quick look through the mid level of cloud books and I own most of them (In the 4 sections I looked at, only one had partial owned). So for $10 extra I get to keep what I have and a free extra book? The 2% thing doesn't seem worth it to me. I guess we will see how it finally shakes out but for now it looks like I'll just stick w/ my ownership model and walk away slowly.

:-) Tomorrow will be the day when Faithlife see thousands in cancelled orders and subscriptions - i think it was cruel to suggest Chris looks at this today, each day has enough trouble of its own :-)

I have found where I've worked that the bosses write the script, then the lesser mortals play their sacrificial parts.

Chris you have a tough job because of the way FL chose to communicate this product and the integration with LN kinda in a piece meal way. FL needs to communicate clearly these issues to avoid these threads and upsetting customer. I will be praying for you as you deal with questions and comments that are not ready to be answered.
That said, some LN subscribers are NOT cloud subscribers for a reason. I personally do not want to have 144 temporary books downloaded on to my account, even if there is no cost to use them until my LN subscription expires.

I wonder how badly FaithLife is doing financially to feel the need to dare a cash grab like this.
"Logos Now subscribers aren't paying enough. I know! We'll just ask them for $240 instead of $100 each year."
Guess what? From many, you're "now" going to get $0 instead of that $100.

Bingo...I would be happy if they made a "features" level that didn't have any books or courses and cost $8.25/mo ($99/year).

Thanks Robert, I understand there will be questions. And we're committed to answering them and making sure everyone understands the program moving forward. Thanks again for the encouragement!

It does seem like Faithlife are charging twice as much for stuff we already have at half the price.
If I said I was confused that would be an understatement!
That being said, it would appear that , as you say, I am being asked to pay twice as much for what I already have. However my understanding (although it could be a misunderstanding) is that at least until November I shall still be getting my current Logos Now benefits. I think.

Wow!,
So many complained that they were not getting enough value for their 99.00, Faithlife can't win it seems. Listening to some, you would get the impression that they are owed something. With Logos Now we got a 50.00 coupon credit and still they were many saying they didn't feel that they were getting their monies worth, go figure.
Really now, who says you need to buy any subscription at all from Faithlife? If you buy nothing, you still have everything you originally paid for. I for one, feel that I received way more than 99.00 in value from Faithlife and have no complaints.
My feeling is that continuing to add all the new stuff each month was not being sustained financially by Logos Now. I suspect they are trying to find a financial model that will satisfy and attract more users. No one knows how many people originally jumped in, I would be curious to know.

David, that is correct. Minimally, all active Logos Now subscribers will have access to Logos Now benefits until November 12, 2018. Some customers will have access to Logos Now benefits up to their renewal date, if their renewal date is AFTER November 12, 2018.
For example:
- if your Logos Now renewal date is July 10, 2018, you will receive Logos Now benefits until November 12, 2018
- if your Logos Now renewal date is January 10, 2019, you will receive Logos Now benefits until January 10, 2019
Hope that helps!

I've just received my e-mail from faithlife and they are breaking this in very gradually. I can see why Chris was in a difficult position. There has to be a better way of communicating these things but I am a happier after reading the e-mail than I was before :-)

To Chris. Hand in there lol. You have been given a lemon to sell as we say in the UK. You are right in that the e-mail I received does take any sting out of this and hopefully you guys can sort out double charging us for books etc. I personally think Faithlife need to seriously consider what they want to achieve. if it is to make money then perhaps they should sell up another type of business which will give them a revenue. At the end of the day Faithlife are their customers and what attracted me (and a lot of people) is your customer focus. once you focus on your own bank book and not us you will lose us. i don't want to be "lost". Please try and supply what we need rather than stuff we don't need but you think will make you money. In the long run it wont.

I'm sorry this is all my fault. I gave them the idea:

Although what they've actually done is rather worse.

Thanks for the encouragement Dave, I'm glad you received the email, and that it helped some. We'll continue to listen to feedback and make adjustments like we always do, and focus on customer needs and delivering as much value as we possibly can.

Deleted. Too quick to state my frustration.

What about the periodic (6-week) updates to Logos? Will those who do not subscribe lose those? Or will all Logos users, regardless of their subscription status, get what are currently termed "Logos Now only" updates?

Here's why asking questions and getting answers is a waste of time and ultimately doesn't matter: Whatever the offer is now, whatever the email says, whatever the answers are, they WILL change within the next year or two. LogosNow was a great deal when it came out and it's gotten worse and worse over time. I'm not going to pay twice as much for the same or less than what I was receiving through LogosNow. And I have no desire to become a book renter who can then have the rental fees get raised and raised and raised. If you want more of my money, here's a novel idea: Publish more books from the Pre-Pub que and the Suggestions lists. And then I'll buy more books and libraries because you'll be giving me what I want and what I use Logos for. All of the rest of the never-ending offers and changes simply take you away from your core business and frustrates those of us who use Logos and want to continue to do so. I think it's finally time to break down and purchase a competitor's product (which I've never done before). P.S. I've been using Logos exclusively since 1995 when I was an undergrad Bible student. I LOVE Logos. But not only have you continued to move away from your core customers, your communication is as bad as any I've ever seen from any organization. As believers, we out to be better than the world and we ought to treat one another the way we want to be treated. Basic, clear, up-front communication would be a good start. It makes perfect sense to expand the business and the customer base over time, but not at the expense of your core customer base. Logos should be the priority, and developing other related businesses should be secondary. The way things are constantly haphazardly released, changed, discontinued, and repeated makes us question whether there's any strategic thinking/planning going on at FaithLife, or if it's just keep throwing ideas up on the wall and hope one of them sticks. Sorry to be so harsh and negative, I try really hard to be a fan and supporter, but I'm done.

To be fair, I think we inadvertently stumbled on the new web site before the forum post and email communication went out.
Matthew said:As believers, we out to be better than the world and we ought to treat one another the way we want to be treated.
In general, that works both ways. (Not singling you or anyone else out, but) we should treat FL the way we want them to treat us.
I think we're all guilty of not being as loving or kind or compassionate or merciful as we should be.

Logos Now 2.0 .. the dead become dead-er.
Basically a SUPER EXPENSIVE LN with LESS FEATURES that people don't care.
Seriously, you guys can take Faithlife TV away and still not worth it. Charging for faithlifeTV is bad because the contents are bad and old, YouTube is 100% filled with HIGHER QUALITY contents (but you can't say that with NETFLIX or AMZ PRIME, because they DO have quality CONTENTS) There's no way in the right mind people who knows what they're doing would NOT pay that much for Faithlife TV. Let alone pay extra for faithlifeTV PLUS... SMH.
I know I'm NOT resubscribing, unless they fix the pricing.
Getting GREEDY here Logos... careful...
