Rosie Perera: 5,000+ posts. If she's helped you, give a shout out!

Rosie, magnificent job! Thanks for executing your role as MVP so capably. Love your knowledge for the minutiae and your ability to point us all in the right direction, be it wiki, community pricing, or what have you.
(no gold cup smiley thing, so here's the coveted coffee cup, instead.)

I just relearned this in another thread. I just had to use that here. Bravo Zulu — Well Done, Rosie.
5,000 posts and she still had time to learn more about Logos 4 than anyone else! THANK YOU, ROSIE for all the assistance you have provided on these forums. [*]

Rosie,
Thanks for all your posts. They are all most helpful. I look for your posts, and they are always on target.

Hey Rosie,
I haven't been posting as much lately. Been pretty busy. But I do still take time to read the forums and I see that you are still a big help. Lord knows you've helped me when I've asked for it. Wow! 5000+ posts. You go girl!

I wonder how many hours of researching and screenclips those 5,000 + posts equate to...[O]... WOW!

Thank you all so much. You are too kind. I should point out that Dave Hooton beat me to 5000 by a few posts. He's kind of like my big brother here on the forum. He's been using Logos 4 several months longer than I have so he knows parts of it better than I do, and he often can explain things when I'm confused.
I am blessed to be part of such a great team of MVPs (and other potential MVPs) who are eager to help and have varying areas of expertise and are in different time zones, so we can fill in for each other when some of us are away or too busy to check in. The amount of helpfulness on this forum and the wiki blows away any other I've ever participated in. And the level of community that has developed here is outstanding.

Rosie and Dave (along with several others) have helped me tremendously. Thanks and stay close to the forums so I have someone to count on.
By the way, do you get a significant raise when you reach the 5000 mark?

Rosie and Dave, Thank you both so much for all your help, and Kevin, while we're about it!
Rejoice not in your 5000 posts, but rejoice rather that your names are written in Heaven. There I'll be able to thank you in person - tho there we shall no longer need Logos!

Its not so much the 5,000 that impresses me. Its the fact that such a high percentage of them are valuable to the purpose of the forum :-) Great job Rosie. the Logos community wouldn't be the same without you!

I'm guessing Martha (MJ Smith) will be next. She's in the 4000's already, and she's also tireless in her dedication to helping people, contributing to topics.logos.com virtually single-handedly, developing more lectionaries, and writing up all kinds of helpful auxilliary documents (word study templates and inductive Bible study formats, and much more). Her expertise on different liturgical traditions and versifications, among other things, has added greatly to this forum. So I'd like to give her an honorable mention. I'm sure she'll be joining the 5K club before long.

Actually I think the acronym MVP comes originally from Most Valuable Professional, a program created by Microsoft to recognize people who help out the most on their user support forums. (Logos owes a lot to Microsoft in more ways than one.) Not that we are professionals at it (we don't get paid, other than a token gift certificate for resource unlocks when we first were invited to be MVPs). And not that there aren't others who are deserving. I'm guessing there are a few others who will be noticed and recognized in the next round of invitations or if some of us tire of it and step down.

Although MVP as most valuable player dates back prior to Bill's birth ... I think I'd rather be professional than a player. Oops - wrong connotation. [:D]

What's a "NY hala"? Google wasn't much help for me on this one. (Neither was Bing. [:)].) Wikipedia offered among other things "An Arabic name meaning 'sweetness'" which probably isn't what you had in mind. Urban Dictionary offered some other unlikely choices: "A word spoken to congratulate a persons stupidity" or "A filipino expression of dread. Can mean 'Oh no!' " Hmm....
I'm guessing it's some kind of cheer they do in NY (perhaps the opposite of a Bronx cheer [:)]). Please enlighten me.

Jack, it's the buggy forum software. Whenever you select some text to quote, it attributes it to the outermost author, not the one nested closest to the actual text as it should. It's easy to overlook this and not fix it. Best practice is to select from the "quote user" bit right before what you're trying to quote down to the ending quote mark, and then delete the outermost quote directives if they are irrelevant (i.e., if there's no surrounding text you're also quoting from the person who quoted the other one). But even better would be if they'd fix the forum software! [:)]
And thanks for the compliment. Let me see...I've got to copy/paste the quote directives to get this right:
