Allow us to use our personal books on the mobile app

I would absolutely use Personal Books if they could be accessed in the mobile apps as well0
-
This would be an effective way for missionaries to add local translations without needing Logos to add each one to the library. Many translators would be happy!0

As an apologist, I need to be able to use my previously created files to work in the Logos environment. Can we have this as a paid feature? I'd pay to have this ability to import word files or books in.0

Yes, this would be nice. Received a new tablet and my PB's were missing. Please make this available.0
-
Can we revisit this? Still very much a requirement.0
-
This would be extremely useful for anyone who teaches using an iPad.0
-
will love it0

Essential: printed font of Daily Light is too small for my old eyes. Logos version of the book is woefully inadequate. My product needed on mobile app for visitation of the elderly. Please, just do it!0
-
I really would like to have access to my personal books on my mobile devices. Please. Why isn't it possible????0
-
Implementation is way too slow, this idea is more than 3 years old.0
-
This is still not available? When I go here: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015926452 the instructions say that I can "Upload" my personal book to a Faithlife Server: "When the build has finished successfully, you can upload your book to Faithlife's servers. This makes it accessible on all of your devices without having to rebuild it." But, no matter how or where I search, it is only on my desktop app.
I would think that this is not a terribly difficult modification. PLEASE make this upgrade. We've been asking for this since Personal Books first became an option.
THank you!0 -

Absolutely. It is so frustrating that we can't read our personal books on the mobile app. Please, please, please....0

I so much agree with everyone here. Mobile devices revolutionize someone’s ready ability, particularly people who are very mobile and read fast. This feature seems so logical and could be vital. Logos has made all aspects of accessibility to good scholarship so basic that it seems adding this could only help the mission.0

Adding my vote. :)0

I'm taking this necropost and saying this is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY in todays age. Given all the work many of us are putting in to building and creating I travel so much that this is an essential for me. It cuts me off at the proverbial knees in many aspects to not have this available. Please make this available.0

I tried using personal books to collate useful blog posts etc but they aren’t portable so no use. Currently i have to copy into notes if I want to use info in Logos ecosystem. I would be happy if personal books can exist in Onedrive, if Logos saving the books on their servers is an issue0
-
I share the opinion with the other contributors: Personal books shared over all devices would be a more than helpful feature, as working with mobile devices is the new standard. Even the library of Logos is huge, it is far from exhaustive and will never contain documents from user selected sources.0

Yes please!0

essentially for someone who’s first language isn’t english… please!!!0
-
don't use this but, ok with it.0

The current status of this is: 'need your opinion'.
Seeing all responses and votes.... our opinion seems clear enough.
I just started to use PB's. To memorize bibleverses with changed translation so it better corresponds with the Greek/Hebrew original text.
To use logos we pay a lot of money....
If PB's are used on copyrighted material, is anyones own responsibility (to God).
Logos also provides their software to false-teachings like mormon or jehova-witnesses. So why such a high moral standard on preserving copyright?
Most uses will be for own material.... So please add this feature!!
As a programmer I bet, it is even NOT difficult to implement.....
Just convert PB's to a normal books in the library.... and everything will work out of the box!0 -
I had some other thoughts on this...
First.... a PB starts as an docx or pdf. Microsoft nor Adobe prevent copying copyrighted material.... Since that is almost impossible.
When Logos does prevent it, it is only in their software, but the user can still have it on its computer, phone etc.
Second, if copyright on a phone is so important, why then is it allowed on a computer...
But even better: if Logos would allow this, they can help perserve copyrights even better!!
For every PB, goes by its software and servers....
If someone is exploiting copyrighted materials to other/many people, Logos can see that: as such PB is copied/used by so many people. That is suspicious, and Logos can then look into that and take action on it.
I do hope, that the people of Logos, read this and consider this. 🙏🙏🙏0 -
In the past, Logos has suggested they did not want to allow personal books to be uploaded to their servers for legal reasons. However, Google Play Books allows you to upload your own epubs to their site, without them worrying about copywrite restrictions on the data that they host. The same could be said for cloud storage. Please reconsider your decision, Faithlife!0

Would really love that feature. I once read the whole bible a few yeas back and could export my note to docx. I also could add metadata so that it will be found via assistant. Tried it to do with a few chapters. But i read the bible in logos with the ipad app and not the desktop and there i miss my books...0
