Please allow us to access, read, search, etc. our personal (user-created) books on the mobile app.
Yes - agree
Yes, I pray this function be considered! Then I could use my own "PB commentary"…. Oh yeah!! Please!
Not really. Unless you open info panel, copy PB file name, close logos, delete the file name and rebuild personal book index. If you uploaded it onto Logos servers, then no. All you can do is hide the book.
Or, rebuild again with a properly formated file.
I would like to do the same. This is the ideal use cae for personal books. I realize that permitting syncing of personal books creates a whole host of issues, but there has to be some way to solve these problems. I'd like to have content that I create be accessible as personal books. This is a worthwhile feature to add.
I would hope that any file we create in Logos would be available on Mobile, including "Workflow files"!
I actually thought that it is a standard function and was really surprised not to find it! And then even more surprised when found out how long Logos users have been begging the company to allow that to use them! Wow!
I would like to import my own books purchased elsewhere from other providers.
Yes, currently this is a turmoil for self converting the books. I wish they would make a Personal book converter! At least for PDF files!
MSWord automatically converts PDF files to .docx files. As is common, I am unimpressed with PDF conversions attempt to preserve format.
The problem is not just in making PDF a DOCX file, but specific formatting requirements of Logos to make the docx file to be a correctly formatted Personal book. In addition tools for identifying Bible references would be super helpful as well, especially in this age of AI…
I did a short look, but didn't find it, but there have been some Logosians that have written some macros for MS Word VBA to write out a "Logos compatible formatted" docx file that could be compiled into Logos. Maybe someone knows where the link is to these files????
It is ridiculous that we are not able to do this. It's bad enough that we are limited to 100 book download at a time. What is the point of adding a personal, searchable book if we can use it on mobile?
I found this for VBA Macros, thank you for the hint.
Yes, it is. Well, you can pray for the developers :)
Well, we can pray for the developers to provide this option :)
How about tackling this request in steps? For me personally it would be real helpful to use the customary lectionary in my denomination on mobile devices (that I’ve made using a personal book). I don’t need search or whatever for that, just read the format from the book, just like you do with lectionaries from the store.
These lectionaries are vital to my scripture-readings. Daily I open my app to study the given passages. Very annoying that I can’t go to the planned passages in one go, on mobile. It’s the perfect device for said scenario.
The personal book app is a great feature with a lot of potential, but it's limited to just the desktop. I recently created a personal book to memorize scripture. It takes a passage and uses just the first letter from each word. It preserves capitalization and punctuation. I created a personal book planning to use this on my phone and ipad. To my dismay, the mobile app doesn't support this feature. So much for my plan. I will just have to use paper. It would be great to open a personal book from the Tabs icon.
I'll throw my hat in here too. I just got a MeeBook M7 e-reader specifically so I could read my Logos books on easier. It has been excellent for reading books that are in Logos. However, I also have a growing collection of resources that are not in Logos. I tried with one of these resources to convert from PDF to .docx, and then import that docx into as a PB. It was all fine and dandy until I realized that my mobile won't get my PB.
Please change this. It would be so incredibly awesome to use PB's on mobile.
Yes, please add it.
Years…I understand things take time, but with so many requests and comments, it's hard to understand why there's no attention given to this request by Logos. At least a comment about "we're looking into this" or "we've considered it, but we're not going to to at this time", but silence is difficult to receive. I've just learned about PB's being a possibility and didn't realize that they weren't accessible on Mobile, until I was getting ready to teach and went to pull one up on my tablet and couldn't locate it. Frustrating. I guess I'll have to go back to copying and pasting material into messages again. Disappointing.
I'm sorry we've not been able to address this. We know how valuable this is to many of you. Improvements to our book publishing tools is a part of our medium-term strategy but unfortunately not something we have resources to prioritize this year or likely next.

In the Shop, I can sort results by "Savings". I'd like to have that option in Wish Lists, too. I know I can sort Wish Lists by "Price", but that isn't the same. Maybe one item is on sale while I'm not aware of that. Sorting a large Wish List by "Savings" would bring things to my attention what I otherwise wouldn't buy.
Please create a Reverse Interlinear for the Peshitta as has been done for the LXX. It would enhance the Syriac capabilities greatly and put Logos at the forefront of Eastern Catholic/Orthodox studies -- an area scholars such as Brock have popularized.
Simply add the ability to place bookmarks in book. And have that feature sync across devices. Just like every other reading app available on the market. It’s actually quite sad and embarrassing that Logos doesn’t have this basic functionality.
After being hacked - severely, and having what was termed "excellent protection" I am ending my 4 decade "affair" with Microsoft. I started out my engineering career with Apple and that relationship tarnished very quickly. Both these operating systems are targets for hackers, and both are excessively costly to maintain.…
I have had ChatGPT and Grok temporarily adopt specific ideological or theological stances and then make an argument. On the whole, both have done a great job, although sometimes some aspect of their arguments have been bad. I was surprised that the Study Assistant can't do that. It would be a good feature to add.
