Allow us to use our personal books on the mobile app

  • I had some other thoughts on this...

First.... a PB starts as an docx or pdf. Microsoft nor Adobe prevent copying copyrighted material.... Since that is almost impossible.
When Logos does prevent it, it is only in their software, but the user can still have it on its computer, phone etc.

Second, if copyright on a phone is so important, why then is it allowed on a computer...

But even better: if Logos would allow this, they can help perserve copyrights even better!!
For every PB, goes by its software and servers....
If someone is exploiting copyrighted materials to other/many people, Logos can see that: as such PB is copied/used by so many people. That is suspicious, and Logos can then look into that and take action on it.

I do hope, that the people of Logos, read this and consider this. 🙏🙏🙏

In the past, Logos has suggested they did not want to allow personal books to be uploaded to their servers for legal reasons. However, Google Play Books allows you to upload your own epubs to their site, without them worrying about copywrite restrictions on the data that they host. The same could be said for cloud storage. Please reconsider your decision, Faithlife!
  • Would really love that feature. I once read the whole bible a few yeas back and could export my note to docx. I also could add metadata so that it will be found via assistant. Tried it to do with a few chapters. But i read the bible in logos with the ipad app and not the desktop and there i miss my books...

Yes. Many of us use the app on mobile devices and would like to view our Personal Books content on them.

Does Logos have any plans to make personal books available on the mobile app?
  • Actually my native language is Filipino , and there is no available bible version but I have a database to build a book. It is a really great help if you allow us to use the personal book builder in mobile app. Thank you.

I think an amazing feature of the new Logos Pro subscription would to allow personal books I add to the desktop to be viewed in Mobile. I would also love the searching ability there as well.

Yes, this would be a HUGE benefit and should be a high priority.
  • 🙏🙏
Please !! Why is this even still a problem?!?!?

I am a programmer myself; so I know it might not be that easy. But why not make personal books to have the same structure as logos-books..... So it works out-of-the-box everywhere.

And this would also create the possibility for users to contribute to logos-books.... which then can be (enhanced and) distributed to other users in the official shop.
And so adding books to logos can get faster maybe.
