I know that in the desktop version of logos you can have your books be read out loud. It would be wonderful to have this feature on the mobile apps. Is that something that Logos is working on?

Just as the desktop version has the opportunity to read aloud, it would be wonderful for the mobile version to be able to do the same without needing to keep the screen unlocked.

An example would be YouTube, where the video/file will play but it will shut off once the screen display goes off. I’d like an option for read-aloud on the mobile that plays while it’s in my pocket.

There are many books that I have to purchase for school. For example:Introducing Christian doctrine 3rd Edition by Millard J Erickson. I spend a lot of time in the car which is the reason why an audio version of textbooks is very important to me. I decided I had to purchase this book through a different app which is call vitalsource. This app allows the text-to-speech function of my device to function within the app making an ebook an audiobook. Logos needs to do this. I would much rather have all of my material within logo system. But unless I can actually use the read aloud on my mobile device I will not be able to make all of my purchases through logos. Please fix this

I am a student, and it would help immensely for there to be an automated read out loud feature added to the app. Especially if it included variable read speed. Just to be clear, I'm not talking of an audio book, just a read aloud feature as for accessibility.
You would be doing us all a great service if you included this feature into the app. Thanks
  • Please add this to mobile version of Logos
  • Would love for this feature to be added so I don’t have to copy and paste my textbooks for college to a program to have it read out loud. I cannot even use speak aloud on iPhone for it to work at how it’s currently set up.
  • this would really be a game-changer for those in ministry, school, exercise, travel, and many other things who read, study prepare lessons, and sermons on the go! this would definitely me to use the mobile app more and be more productive. even if it's available on the web app with immersive readers

  • Please prioritize adding read aloud for resources to the mobile app. I'm in seminary and, being an aural learner, it would massively aid my studies if I was able to listen to my resources on iPhone/iPad when I am out and about, sparing precious extra time for family and other responsibilities. This will carry over directly into ministry as well and would be so helpful for busy pastors in staying well read.

It would really be nice to hear the word of God as I'm driving down the road through my app.

have a button to activate the voice reading
  • Yes please! As a student of the word I need this! I have more than a thousand books in logos and it would greatly improve and help with my studies. It would be impossible for me to read through everything in it. Plus it would add more perks on buying the logos’ ebook version rather than Amazon or other ebook websites. Please do this.

I like the read aloud feature on the desktop version of Logos, but I am always on the go all the time I want to have the read aloud on the mobile app.

Please add the Read function to the mobile version to listen to books. This would help so much with my dyslexia.

Please make the text within a book accessible to the Google Talkback screen reader.

yes, everyone should have God's word accessible to them. just for clarification talkback will not read the text of the book, it acts like its not there. it refuses to read. it reads the buttons just fine but it will not read the text in the books.
      that's what Jazmin tells me.
  • As an educator I cannot emphasize the need for this highly enough. So many people struggle with reading, even at higher degrees of education like me. TTSis a game changer for scholars, students, and laypeople alike.
  • Yes, please add this! I would love to be able to hear me Logos books on 5e road.

I'm not surprised at all to see this as the most requested item on mobile. This would be a game changer for my workflow.

@Peter Li  Thank you for clarifying! Totally agree. One of my readers makes awkward pause when flipping page. Really distracting! And yes, choosing language and TTS engine is crucial too!
