  • Yes!! This would help greatly for those who learn better and faster with audiobooks. Not everyone can afford to buy the audiobook version of their textbooks, MANY textbooks do not even have an audiobook version. Any book should be able to have text-to-speech capabilities. Please and thank you!
  • Yes.  please add this function!

Please enable TTS on Android phones while using the Logos app. This would enable me to use the accessibility feature on my phone to make books that are not audio into audiobooks. I would purchase more books through the Faithlife website—thus, increasing your revenues—if you could make this happen. Currently I'm buying all of my digital books through Vital Source, who has an app called Bookshelf that lets me do exactly what I described I would like to see Logos do. The Logos app for WINDOWS already allows this. I can use the Windows accessibility option to use TTS with any book. This would be a game changer if you could make this happen for Android phones. Thank you.
  • This would be super helpful for me!

It would be great if the text was highlighted as it was being read so you don't lose your spot if following along.

Now available in Logos 10! https://www.logos.com/10
  • Can you provide documentation showing how to have your updated Android app actually read the text?  I can't find details and I don't intuitively see how it works in the app after getting the update today.
  • Please provide additional details. The only audio books showing up on the IOS app are actual audio books in my library (not many). There is no text to speech function on the IOS Logos v10 app that I can find. One of the main reasons I paid for the update was this functionality.

Read aloud for mobile app would help a lot for any books. There is an option on iPhone for Siri to read any text that's on the screen (books , etc.) and turn the page automatically , but LOGOS recently added the title of the book being read on top of the screen so every time the page turns , Siri would also read the book title (very annoying). Can LOGOS just remove the title or have an option to remove it from the top of the iPhone screen?

@Alexander E Aguilar  I have the same problem, but found that if you go to View Settings and enable Scrolling View it won’t read the title every page. Unfortunately it also won’t read the footnotes.

    Hey Guys,
This was actually added to logos 10. It is called "Read aloud on Mobile". In the english packages it is included from Bronze upwards. In other languages this may differ.

@Thomas Wood  seems like Logos 10 Gold and above adds a button to the interface to start text-to-speech. You still can have text-to-speech FOR FREE by using native iOS TTS and a funny two-finger gesture:
Hear the entire screen:  Swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen. Use the controls that appear to pause speaking or adjust the rate.

@Josua Häsler  I am in the mobile app for Android version 10.02, I don't see this feature. I just opened a random book from my library and checked the menu options within the book. No option to read was seen. I know TTS is available on my PC in Logos, but not for Android. Maybe you have it on Apple iPhone?

Have you purchased a logos 10 Bronze package or upwards? I haven't made the upgrade yet. I have heard in a recent webcast that this is available for android as well. So it should work, maybe someone else can confirm. With a free update you don't typically get any new features, only updates of existing ones. Hope that answers your question.
  • Yes please!! Currently I need to use my laptop to listen as I read along from my phone. It's rather a bother

Can we please add this? I love having this option on desktop but it needs to be on mobile! I have a lot of books that I rather read on my ipad with the read out loud feature
  • Text to speech (TTS) on Androids would be immensely helpful.

@Lee Antony  They added this feature but paywalled it by requiring Bronze and above. I guess folks with dyslexia have to fork out a few hundred more dollars to get that accessibility.
  • Is this gonna happen?
  • A resonant, natural voice that would work for every resource in one’s library would be a huge upgrade to LOGOS software.  I’m frequently in my car, or wearing ear buds throughout the day and would love to have various volumes read to me as I do other things.
  • YES! I use speechify, which is on mac, PC, android, and iPhone. I would like LOGOS to be integrated with speechify for sure.
  • Yes please add

Greetings Logos team. Many people have given input and waited for a long time for this feature enhancement. It would be of great value to many of us Android users.

Do you have a status update?

    Thank you in advance!

@michael strand  You'll see this was marked as Done. We completed this with the launch of Logos 10 last October. Is there more that you're looking for?
