Faithlife's/Logos Bible Software's practice of producing incomplete sets needs to be rectified as a part of a company-wide policy change.
Well, practice is a strong word. We've requested the license from the publisher but have not received permission yet. We will keep trying. Your patience is appreciated :-)
Any update on this a year later?
I understand that licenses can be beyond Logos' control, but the overall effect of lacking this (and other similar things) while having lots of Evangelical books is why Logos gets popularly understood as oriented to Evangelical pastors instead of scholars.
We had a meeting with the publisher in January. They know we want this and a number of other titles. It will happened but new acquisitions have been slowed by their mergers and a need for new agreements with the new merged company. None of this happens as quickly as we'd like.
And for what it's worth, no one would like CoS4 in their personal Logos library more than me.
Many thanks for the update :)
(I messed up the "quote" feature in this reply. This [useless] post is the result of trying to delete the error. My apologies.)
Thank you, sir, for your reply. I wasn't intending to impugn Logos' reputation by the usage of a "strong word." (OK, yes, I was probably a bit purturbed at the time of writing, perhaps "apparent pattern" would have been more appropriate. Please accept my sincere apologies.) What I meant to say is that I have seen this kind of comment several times pertaining to different series/sets. In many ways, it may well be solved by the Logos PR team getting ahead of these delays — especially for volumes that are an integral part of a set/series — vis-à-vis updates to product information pages, etc. This may also help with the "reputation" issue that another user mentioned… especially for a monumental work like this one. It also stings a bit more when the "other guys" have had it for quite some time, but I digress : ). Thanks again, and God bless, brother!!

This link is solely for Volume 1 (Genesis and Exodus). I would love for Logos to begin digitizing and publishing these volumes while the remainder of the set is still being written. If I need to find out which volumes are published already, I am happy to do so. God bless you!
