I was excited to hear about the new draw on screen function, but it does not seem to be available on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I have a pen. Is this an option that's only for Apple products and not Android?

@SpirtheoryCody  - draw on screen is currently iPad only. We'll take this post as a vote to supporting it on Android.

It would be great if you gave as much attention to Android devices as you do to Apple devices. Things like the "draw on screen" feature say "on your iPad," but many of us own Android tablets and phones.

Also, why does this site cut out my quotation marks? If I want to emphasize something in a comment, how should I do that?

Lol, I had to remove a word that wasn't allowed... I tried to write _s t r i p_ out, but I had to change it to _cut_ out.

    Solution!!! 4 Screen Drawing...
I thought of a solution if the programmers knew how to do this that would allow the type of drawing on screen that I think people are hoping for. From my understanding the drawing on screen currently that's only for Apple products only acts as a temporary picture. The drawings do not scroll with the screen, nor are they kept with the scripture.

The idea is to hijack the highlighting function that you guys currently have right now. The highlighting function allows you to highlight certain words and track those words as being highlighted individually in conjunction with a note. If the programmers could use the words that already act as anchor points for the highlighting as  the anchor points for the starting and ending points of the colored marks. What you could do then is essentially go into drawing mode. Which would be kind of like going into highlighting mode. Then as you make all of the drawing Mark's when you go to save that note, those drawing marks would be attached to the words of scripture in the same way that highlighted words are attached to the highlight note. This would build an anchor point for all of those drawing marks.
This would allow the marks, to stay on top of the scripture where they were put even when scrolling. So the computer system would just have to be able to remember that this colorful Mark started at this point, on this word, went through all of these other points, and ended at this point word, and it's all attached to this specific note.

A person would even be able to potentially do separate notes with different drawing marks. so that they would be able to essentially hide or make visible the different sets of marks that they have on a particular section of scripture. This would allow people to draw on the screen and be able to leave that drawing actually tied to the scripture, the way that people want to. anytime they go into edit the note, they could choose specific marks to either delete or to keep or to erase or however it would need to work. This is just an idea, it doesn't really help with the coding of it all, but they're smart people that can do that. Essentially each word of scripture could be treated like a grid, and then under the data for that particular note it could hold all of the data points of any marks that cross through that grid of where they align with certain words. Then all the system would have to do depending on the display settings is wherever one line of scripture or each word of scripture gets displayed next to the next word it just connects those dots with whatever color the drawing initially was. You could easily put it to disclaimer in there to get accurate representations of drawings similar viewing settings should be set. Some drawings might come out looking a little squirrely if the view settings are changed from the time the drawing is done. Either way this would be an extremely helpful feature to be able to draw arrows and lines and color code things with the pen. And I would definitely want this to come to Android. Thank you for your time and consideration

This would be an especially useful feature to have on Samsung's Z Fold devices and other android phones and tablets with pen support.

Apple has capability to write on screen for Journaling purposes but why not android? Not everyone has an apple device. In fact many people don't. I have a Samsung tablet and feel like I have to switch my whole ecosystem just to be able to journal the way I want to. If you all can help it please get this updated so none of us believers will feel left out if we're not on the apple-stolic team. Please and thank you 😊
  • Kind of ashamed I didn't know the desktop version could do this but definitely in support of Android now that I've been made aware.
  • Please add this ASAP to Android/PC users. I am going to begin doctoral research--Lord willing--in a year and this would be a huge asset (especially considering the large investment already made into Logos products)! Thanks!
  • @Brendan Horner  The desktop version is not very great at all, only temporary highlights and does not save markings.

It is kind of upsetting the kind of priority iPad, iPhone, and Mac gets from Logos. I find it hard to believe that pastors and bible teachers from around the world are invested in the Mac ecosystem. Please bring the drawing feature to Android and Desktop versions.
