Improve wildcard search performance

Please add first-class support for wildcard searches so they run as fast as other searches.

Is this actually an issue? I've never noticed wildcard searches taking longer, except for the fact often they return more results.0 -
@davidtaylorjr, it depends on the kind of wildcard search. Some are fine (e.g., lov*, which took 0.44 seconds in the NIV), but some aren't (e.g., *lov*, which took 45 seconds in the NIV).0

@phil-gons It would be a good idea to get more specificity about _which_ wildcard searches are important. "*lov*", {Speaker *}, words-of-christ:*, *@N*, are all very different, and "Improve wildcard search [performance]" is too broad to be useful.0

@bradley-grainger, that's fair. I'd say they're all desirable. I'd love to let users vote on them separately to answer the importance question. Are these the right four categories? Are there others? Could you help me come up with the best ways to describe these various types of wildcard searches so we can gather feedback appropriately?0
