At the moment only single verses can be memorized. Entire passages would be very helpfull (eg, Galatians 5:22–23)

  • I agree with this comment. In many cases, one memorizes a block of verses. The fact that you cannot sequentially practice and quiz on a grouping of verses limits the usefulness of this feature. For instance, I am currently memorizing Ephesians 3:14-21. This group of verses is actually one long sentence. Thus, to break it up into 8 distinct verses that are out of order works at cross purposes.

It would be really great if the memorization tool in passage lists either:

    1) respected the chunking of verses in the passage list (John 1:1-3 vs. John 1:1, John 1:2, John 1:3) in order to practice them as if they were one verse.

    or

    2) allowed you to quiz verses in the order of the passage list so you could memorize and practice a multi-verse passage in order. The quiz feature currently randomizes the order of verses in the passage list.

Memorization would be much more useable if it could handle a verse range instead of a single verse at a time.

At a minimum there is no excuse for splitting sentences that cross verse boundaries.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

  • I would love to do this.  The current verse by verse makes it difficult to memorize a Psalm.
