Reading View: Scrolling buttons

If at the bottom of the phone there was a down scroll button, and up scroll button the user could avoid touching the words while they read through the text. This would avoid the app from selecting words to highlight, copy etc. This would allow the user to take their finger off the scroll to pause and them resume by placing the finger in the same location. I think this would resolve several issues for many customers. These buttons would not require much space and could be used as an option if the user preferred the current set up.

How to improve the Logos phone app.
First the app works ok until you want to highlight or select a word for a definition or bible study word look up. Then a half of the screen is occupied by the app to provide access to the controls that provide for the various functions. I think that is ok, but it would be better if that part of the screen was always on, unless the user preferred to go back to the current set up. There would be added options to have the screen scroll at the users choice of speed and direction or pause. The upper part of the screen would always be for reading. I will include a mock screen to show how this could be implemented.
