Power Look-up, Explorer, Information (you know, the side-panel tools on right-hand side)

First of all, these tools are so similar that they need to be combined somehow - in the very least, it should be possible to launch them together as a set when creating a new layout.

Secondly, and this is my main issue - I do most of my reading and close study (when I actually need these tools) away from the main set of panels of the application. In other words, if I want to take a close look at a particular resource, I will open that resource in a "floating window" to get away from the distractions and space constraints of the main application window. But the "side panel tools" remain tied to the main app window - as far as I can tell, there is no way to drag or otherwise move these tools to my floating window.

Would love to see the panel tools made available to floating windows and would love to see these tools integrated or connected in some way. (Perhaps there should even be an option that causes them to open by default.)

I have one of my monitors setup vertically and that’s where I float my window when I’m concentrating on a single resource. It would be nice to have an information panel that I could toggle on and off without having to go back to the main layout which is usually very busy.

So apparently it's technically possible to drag (one at a time) the side panel tools to a floating window, but as far as I can tell, it is time consuming and tedious to do. I'd like to be able to just quickly click on an option and have them appear (all three of them). Now that they have slimmed down the options that appear under the three vertical dots in the upper right hand side of every window, perhaps this command could be located here?

I could also wish for my three most used side panel tools to be combined, but they are as distinct as the ones you prefer. And some open on different sides by default! Once settled on the RHS of a layout, I don't need to interact with the Tools menu.

You could Open All the side panels in a floating window and then drag your resource to it from another floating window. When finished, close the resource and Dock All the side panel tabs The problem is that docking does not return them to their original location as side panels. One could flag this as a Bug if you thought the idea worthwhile.

Alternatively, first save the main layout (Update Active), combine the side panels and resource as above, then restore the main layout when finished with the floating window.
