Select Text and Apply Greek or Hebrew Font from Drop. Down

Why can't I just select a word that I've typed using English letters (transliterated) and select that word and use the font drop-down box and apply a Greek or Hebrew font? I'd like to see this added to Logos Notes or other document tools.
