App does not work offline

Last Sunday, as I started to preach, the app would not work. It came on when I opened it, but I couldn't change verses. This was very embarrassing. I'm vision impaired and reading a bible is difficult for me, so I use the program for sermon notes and scripture because I can enlarge the text. I used to have the actual program on my laptop, but with this latest version, I only have the app. My church is way out in the country, and there is no cell service there and the church cannot afford to run internet service for our church. We only have 15 members and would require expensive satellite internet. This has happened to me before so it's not an isolated event. Please advise me. How can I get Logos on my laptop?
