Make AI Local

I assume the reason for AI answers being limited is that they're being off-loaded to the cloud. This also makes them dependent on having a current subscription. With new CPUs have dedicated NPU capabilities and other optimizations for AI, is there any reason there can't be an option to do AI operations on the local machine instead? This is already common for many other software tools.

The Large Language Models that make AI possible aren't suitable for local computing. There are other forms of AI that could be adapted to the local computer but they lack the gee-wheez factor.
