I am the Senior Pastor of a Calvary Chapel and I have a number of personal books I created that I would like to share with my School of Discipleship Students and Assisting Pastors. I would like to be able to do that across all platforms.
You can share the source files of the PB (the docx-format), but everybody needs to build the PB by themselves, there is no functionlity to share compiled PBs in Logos right now - the idea of sharing compiled PBs was around some 10 years ago but did not materialize.
You can share those docx-files on any platform you like, but you probably know that PBs currently work only on desktop (I think it's the most-voted feature request for years to change that). If you want to retain control over whom you give access to your PB source files, the in my mind ideal solution would be to make a Faithlife group for that. Of course, if you want to freely share those to everyone interested, you can simply drop them here in the forum.
Hope this helps.
Then a suggestion… I have found where the books are stored, but the name of the file is too confusing to figure out which books are which. Could you use the naming structure we create instead of remaining the PB with a code? Or give us an idea of how to name the books to fit your naming structure so we can figure out how to share them?
the cryptic names are not the problem - the PB-log will tell you which source file made it into which PB. If you don't want to look into logs: simply rebuild a PB and then you look for the newest resource in the folder: that's the PB you just built. BUT: it makes no sense sharing it with others; since they don't have a licence for this book, they can't open it. Here also Logos would need to build a way of sharing the license (or of building license-free books that could be imported by everyone via the scan command). one additional benefit of shared PBs would be: you can link from one to the other.
Our church is doing a "scripture memorization" program from the English Standard Version (ESV). Created a passage list using the ESV but practice mode is using my top bible (LSB) instead of the ESV. Using the desktop app: The passage list was created by opening the ESV, going the the verse(s) and added to the list using…
Would love to be able to insert a new line before all the conjunctions. Best I can do now is put them in [bold]. But having the ability to have each conjunction begin new line of text would be OFF THE CHARTS! Also, mobile support for visual filters would be cool.
Add functionality to L10 to bulk add books to the new print library feature by importing a list of ISBN numbers.
I think It'd be helpful to be able to link a notebook with a specific book, instead of opening a book and then making sure you have the correct notebook selected.
The concordance too is cool, but once I've waited for the results to formulate, then scrolled and scrolled (a filter option would be nice) to find the entry in question, then there's little-to-nothing I can do to export, print, or interact with the results. If I want a passage list, I'll need to manually drag each entry…
