Case: I am looking for all instances in the Bible where God is called Father.
SEARCH 1: My first, intuitive search query would be a Precise Bible Search on father EQUALS person:God.
However, I am surprised to see only two hits from the OT.
SEARCH 2: Performing a much less intuitive Precise Bible Search on sense:="God ⇔ father" yields more results, but still not all.
SEARCH 3: Interestingly, when I do a SMART search "List all places in the Old Testament, in canonical order, where God is called Father", all hits (except 1) from the previous search are included, and it finds 11 more examples (incl 1 Chron 29:10 which shouldn't be listed).
Questions:
- While it is great that the SMART search helps out in this particular case, it does not count the results. Will counting hits in SMART searches be included in future updates?
- Beside the new AI developments, will Logos keep maintaining the underlying tagging of Bible words and ideas, which made Logos famous for years?
- More specific to this case: Why does SEARCH 1 do a pretty good job on the NT, but not on the OT? I understand the technical answer is: because these OT were not tagged 'person:God' and so my question is more "Why were these not tagged 'person:God'?" Has the tagging not finished yet, will this happen in the future? Is Logos still working on those tags? How can we contribute / report / suggest potential improvements like this?
