In Library, I want to show all entries which have an empty "My Tags" field AND I want those entries to be sorted in latest date to earliest date order by the "Last Update" field. What should I enter in the Library's Search field?
The search {MyTag None} will get the Library filtered to only those books you have not tagged and then click on the Last Updated column header until you get the sort order from latest to earlies.
Thank you, but "MyTag None" gives zero results. So does "mytag:None" and "mytag:none".
My experiments with 'mytag:""', "mytag:null", "NOT mytag:exists", and "mytag:empty" all failed as well.
I usually click on the myTag column (untagged at top); highlight any untagged; assign them a temp-tag, and go from there.
Thank you, DMB -
That looks like it might indeed be helpful.
Once the untagged are highlighted, how do you assign the temp-tag to the entire group at once?
You didn't get the recommended syntax quite right. It's supposed to be {MyTag None}
The braces are significant.
Andrew's above is quicker (tho not easy to remember).
In answer, after you highlight the untagged, assigning a temporary tag … just open the Info-panel, and enter a tagname for temp-use. Delete it later.
Independent of the 'none' answer above, whenever I buy a large package to tag, I do the temp-tag routine, while tagging, because the library-refresh always looses my place.
Thank you again, DMB -
I found:
https://community.logos.com/kb/articles/2341#Is_there_a_way_to_Tag_multiple_books_at_the_same_time.3f
It worked, and I was then able to sort on "Last Update".
BTW, I used "00" (i.e. zero zero) as my temp-tag, so I can also just sort on the "My Tags" field and all the untagged will be at the top.
Thank you, Andrew -
I had tried several variations including {My Tag None} and {My Tags None} but none of them seem to work, at least on my installation, currently Logos Max Version 46.2
Just for reference later, the library syntax:

And filter 'extensions' usage is about 2/3's scroll-down.

After reading Philippians 1:1, I was curious to find out how many times δοῦλος was used appositionally in the New Testament. I did the Syntax Search seen in the image but there are results missing such as James 1:1. How do I construct a better syntax query to get every instance to show up in my search.
So when I visited Logos in Bellingham 10 years ago this spring (such a cool visit that was!), one of the things I really enjoyed learning was that they had a department there with artists whose sole job it was to create the Logos Verse of the Day - no restrictions on which book or verse they chose, or how they chose to do…
What IP/hostnames do I need to whitelist in my outbound firewall for egress filtering? I want to allow logos download of app updates, courses, media, AI, etc, but I want to block arbitrary outbound requests not related to logos
I know I can send someone the docx file of a personal book I have created, so they can build it as a personal book. Is there a way I can send someone the compiled personal book, without requiring them to build the book? Alternatively, is there a way to create a group that would have access to the personal book? I would…
I have many surveys, but I can only place them in a collection if I want them incorporated into my passage guide. Can they just be an option for passage guide? It's tedious to buy a bundle and have to bring in the surveys into the collections instead of Logos automatically incorporating them into Passage Guide
