I was caught out by “Restore Presentation…” in Proclaim when our internet access was super slow and flaky. I used “Restore Presentation…” from a USB but was not aware that this added a copy to retrieve through File/Open. In panic, I noted “…successfully restored” but missed that the text started with “A copy…”. Can “Restore…” show its title as Restore Copy Pres…?
Also the copies restored had exactly the same presentation name. Restored copies do need to be named with a tie breaker (preferably date/time). It makes it tricky to know which is the latest when there are multiple copies restored with the same name. I always do a “Back up Presentation” but had never had to restore before, and have not had internet issues over the past few years. We very nearly had to cancel our annual carols service, though people had already filled the church. I love Proclaim and rarely get caught out.
