we should have more options for marking our notes so we can sort and recover them better. There should be tag icons, not just for topics and themes, but for what they make us think and how they make us feel. Things like icons or labels such as "I don't understand", "That's great", and "How sad!" The Spark Study Bible for kids this in the form of stickers placed in the back. I was just thinking that it could be adapted here as something like an icon or a note label or both. I just noticed the existing icons, but therefore things like remembering places or making connections to the gospel. It seems the existing icons are meant to facilitate only Bible study itself.
