Chronological Bible Reading Plan - PBB file.
Warren Doud from Grace Notes has put together a chronological reading plan for 2012. I have spoken with Warren and created a Logos 4 PBB file ready for you to compile. Attached zip contains the file and cover if you wish to use it.

The file is setup to be compiled as type: calendar devotional. Once compiled if you prioritize the resource and it will show on your Logos home page.

Thanks for this, Andrew. I noticed that all of the milestones for the 19th and 23rd of every month have a typo. They are missing the final closing square bracket.
Also, the links for Philemon, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude were not functioning because they had no chapter or verse numbers after them. I edited the document to use this syntax [[Philemon >> Philemon 1-25]] and that fixed it.
I cleaned up some punctuation and spacing inconsistencies too.

So how do I get it to show up on my homepages?
Step 1: turn on the Devotionals checkbox on the Customize menu on your home page:
Step 2: Prioritize the devotional(s) you want to appear on the home page:

Incidentally, this is all very nice, but until Logos fixes the problem where Scripture references in the home page don't have live links, we will be forced to click on the title to open the devotional and then click on today's Scripture link within it.
Perhaps a better idea would be (would have been) to create a chronological Reading Plan based on this document. Except that way you can't control the breakdown from day to day. Logos figures it out automatically for you. But you can paste in the order of how you want to read the Bible (comma separated like the examples in the wiki page -- see link above), into the All Passages dropdown in a new Reading Plan.

Actually Logos figures out the days as the respective breaks, if you make them Headings in the docx-file, as we saw lately in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/42129.aspx

Very true and rather annoying for the Daily Devotionals on the home page. I hope Logos fixes this - right now I don't recall: are they planning to do this? Has this been reported as bug or suggestion?

EDIT: Still, it's not very helpful with this Chronological Bible Reading Plan that Andrew posted, since the headings are the dates, so my Reading Plan ends up looking like this:
And I still would have to click on a date to get to the PB, within which I could click on the Scripture reading for the day.
I would want to be able to turn it into a Reading Plan that I could have open on my Home Page, where I could just click on the Scripture reference directly:

You might choose to include the references into the heading (haven't tested this).
Regarding the dates it's easy: tell Logos to start your plan at Dec 29, 2011 (see my first screenshot in the other thread, where I "tricked" Logos to do this with "My utmost for his highest")

since the headings are the dates, so my Reading Plan ends up looking like this:
Headings were setup as dates more for purpose of table of contents, since this is the standard format for most calendar devotionals. I was thinking about doing a different file for use on the ribbon but haven't had time to sit down and do it. I was thinking of including page numbers so you could tell the reading plan to skip pages 1 and 2 and start at page 3 so the front matter would be ignored.
I would want to be able to turn it into a Reading Plan that I could have open on my Home Page, where I could just click on the Scripture reference directly:
Would like to do so also but Logos Reading plan takes over and won't allow you custom readings for each day, hence this approach - not the most elegant but functional enough for use from desktop, but I agree lacking, in not being able to check off each day's reading. There was a time in L3 when you could create reading plans like this....the day they change that was a backward step, and leave us with semi-functional solutions like this one.

This can be done but I wanted to specifically follow this pattern because there is also a year through the bile weekly study notes and sermons available from the website that provided this reading plan that link into this specific flow of readings....the Logos Reading Plan tool just does not cut in in this instance.

as far as my (limited) experience goes, Logos Reading Plan can work either on headings (here dates) or bible text chunks or pages, but not on two of them simultaneously - see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/42129.aspx.
I checked yesterday whether simply putting a bible verse reference in the heading woud work: no. Still the mouse over displays the resource and you have to open it to read the bible text from mouse-over or click then. IMHO, if the verse text is short, the best solution would be to put it into the resource and thus have it come up at mouse over from the ribbon (I'm still contemplating doing something like this with the moravian daily texts/ watchwords).

The intent was to not have the date headings in the alternate version since it was for usage in ribbon but to use page numbers so a user could start using at any time and not be restricted to calendar year usage.

Attached an example Personal Book devotional with Daily Psalms and Proverbs:

Apologies: this devotional is missing February 29. For Psalms, repeated Psalms 119 three times along with focusing on one Hebrew letter per day (8 verses); all other Psalms are one Psalms per day. Without heading paragraphs, reading plan lines up with dates, until February 29:
On March 1, could adjust reading plan. Other option is creating a leap year devotional Personal Book.
