OT: Manetho - Egyptian Historian

I keep running into 'Manetho' this and 'Manetho' that. I was hoping that amongst the Perseus hoard, 'Manetho' pieces would appear. But no such luck so far.

I'm obviously no Manetho expert but this would seem to be a nice addition to Logos. It's actually offered for sale by the publisher Harvard University Press but apparently has given Archive.com digitizing rights.

And interestingly enough, having read some of this pdf, another Logos $$$ resource looks pretty interesting:

Do any let you literally read Manetho? (versus reference to 'Manetho'). He was an author.

KSFJ .... thank you for the screen copies. It's interesting Manetho shows up so often but 'no Manetho' (his writings apparently lost forever).

But Beloved's suggestion is the best solution. Probably many things in Loeb that we don't know we need.

But it appears that Josephus did word for word quote in some of his own writings, as noted below:

I have advocated that Logos offer this library on UserVoice.

The way to suggest resources is in the Suggestions forum, and/or by mail to suggest@logos.com. UserVoice is for "user-ranking of feature priorities" (my bold). I doubt the people who decide on resources even look at UserVoice.

Hey fgh,

I did not know that. Learn something new about Logos every day. If I recall correctly I did start the thread in suggestions and learned from posters that the suggestion had a history. Expense, size were raised as issues and I think someone also suggested UserVoice which I at the time knew nothing about. In any case I thank you for the clarification. Is there anyway of tracking implementation of prior suggestions?

Graham's post as to history contains a post from none other than Bob who reports that Logos had attempted to get the rights but were unsuccessful. Interesting stuff. I don't know where I got the UserVoice notion from. Thanks.

If you mean resource suggestions: only by keeping an eye on new CPs and prepubs. Though sometimes someone will remember that there's been a Suggestion thread and post an update to it when the resource turns up.
