Thanks Dan! I didn't know about the starring feature!

This is a brilliant one! I too also use 'visual' memory! [:D]

Unless I am missing something, i think i can help both of you.  you can use two fingers to adjust the text up or down, line by line.

Thanks for that tip, Dan. I am a long term user of Logos (back to 1.X).  I've been using the iPad app since it was released and one thing that disappointed me was the lack of scroll. I take my iPad into the pulpit to preach. In fact I use a competitor's app at the moment because it allows me to scroll (it gives me the option to choose scroll or swipe). Scrolling is much better for me because it allows me to keep track of the passage I am handling. I don't think the Logos iPad app does this as well as the other app I use, but it's a start. It would be better to have an option to set a user preference to scroll or to swipe.

There are two things which disappoint me with the app: [1] the inability to create custom highlights (I have to create them on my PC and then sync them with my iPad); [2] the inability to backup the books I have downloaded from my library when I sync my iPad with my PC. If you keep your iOS version up to date and have some of your library downloaded you will find that under certain conditions you loose the books you have downloaded and you have to download them again.

I'd like to out the Read Aloud functionality, as well.

Hi Andrew - and welcome to the forums

[2] the inability to backup the books I have downloaded from my library when I sync my iPad with my PC

The app used to backup to iTunes but this was changed in 2.1.6.

There is a discussion of this - and differing views about it - at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/53104.aspx

If you keep your iOS version up to date and have some of your library downloaded you will find that under certain conditions you loose the books you have downloaded and you have to download them again.

Can you expand on the situations where you lose downloaded books?

    Graham

Kevin - from Logos - has advised that this is coming - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/57418/411047.aspx#411047

Thanks for that, Graham. I suspect that some of my issues may coincide with removal of the feature from the app. However, I agree with Andrew McKenzie in the post you mentioned. No matter how others organise their use of their own Logos library having the ability to backup whatever portion of your library you have downloaded is an advantage for those want the option. I have downloaded those books in my library that will be of benefit to me when I use my iPad for studying. This then frees me from depending on a WiFi network when I am away from home
