New Bible Dictionary Crashing v4

I don't know where we're supposed to report bugs but I've run into one.

I'm running Logos 4 windows version on my MacBook Pro inside VMWare Fusion.

Here's what causes the crash:

1. I'm doing a passage study on Luke 1. When I mouse over Herod in Luke 1:5 the information palette populates. The resource NBD is listed with ... preceding it. When I click on NBD to pull the reference up the app crashes every time.

2. Opening up NBD via the library window it opens fine. Doing a search for Herod causes the app to crash.

Hi Dave, I can't reproduce your problem (I'm running 4.0a beta1). If you open up NBD from your library, and then type Herod in its search box does it crash?

I'm not running the beta. Accessing NBD through the info palette or opening up NBD in the library causes the crash.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you enable logging and attach a Logos4.log file to this thread? To enable logging for one session, hold down the Ctrl key when you open the program and keep it held down until the Sign In screen appears, then click Sign In. Try to open the NBD to reproduce the crash, and find the resulting log file in \Documents (or My Documents\Logos Log Files.

Here's the log file.

The version of the NDB.logos4 book file is the same as mine, but since I'm not able to reproduce the problem, I wonder if it's the right size. Mine is 9,481 KB. Could you check in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\lnikf1u3.0pe\ResourceManager\Resources for NBD.logos4 and check the size? Perhaps it didn't get fully downloaded, or it could be corrupt. You might try deleting that file so Logos 4 can download it again.

The NBD file was the same size you mentioned. I deleted the file and now Logos just tells me the resource is missing. How do I get Logos to redownload it?

If it's not in your Recycle Bin to restore, it should download automatically. You can force it by typing update resources in Command box.
