Ah, you added a different series that's name starts with rather than is in its entirety. https://www.logos.com/product/9330/the-peoples-bible-complete-set is the set I was referring to.

Hello.
I'm a member of the commentary collections group and see all of the expected documents except textual commentaries. Is there some reason this particular document is not showing up for me?Thanks!

Hey Mark thanks for doing this but I have a problem with the "Historical Commentaries (1750-1950) ". On the old rule I show 1442 books, but with the new rule (the one for 7.15) I show 1188 books. Should this be expected?? Thanks Matt

Possibly. The old rule used publication dates to try and add extra volumes in. However, this was very unreliable because the publication date used was often NOT the first publication date, so (for example), you might get lots of reprinted puritan and reformation-era works included. The new rule uses author names instead of dates, so there's far fewer errors, but it might miss a few as a consequence.
If you want to look into it further, create a new collection that pluses the "old rule" collection and minuses the "new rule" collection and scan through the list. If you get lots of resources that should be in the new rule, upload an excel export of this collection and I'll take a look.

Hey Mark, been busy but I did what you suggested, quite an interesting way to do a collection. Their were a few odds and ends but I will list a few names connected to 9 or more volumes.
The Pulpit Commentary was authored by H.D.M. Spence (1836-1917) all 77 volumes
H. A. Ironside (1876–1951) 29 volumes from his collection
The Church Pulpit Commentary, all 12 volumes, Has a publishing date of 1908 by various authors: Thomas Arnold (1795-1842), Frederick Denison Maurice (1805-1872), John Burgon (1813-1888), and maybe more but these seem to be the main ones.
The Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges 34 volumes many authors: J. R. Lumby (1881-1895) 3 vol., Thomas Perowne (1824-1913) 5 vol., Andrew B. Davidson (1831-1902) 3 vol,
The Expositor’s Bible, 6 volumes, various authors: Marcus Dods (1834-1909), G. A. Chadwick (1840–1923), William Robertson Nicoll (1851–1923), that is just a few
Now that was most of the ones that I think should be left in the Historical Commentary (1750-1950). With these examples I found 158 volumes. But most of the 140 volumes remaining should have been taken out. I hope this helps. Thanks again.

I am unable to copy and paste the entirety of the massive Historical Commentaries (1750-1950) rules into the the collection. The beginning seems to be truncated. Odd?

In other words, do i want to use those from following the group and clicking on copy, or do i need to copy and paste from the first post in this thread?

Commentaries not in a series are not included. I try to pick some of these up by author, but that’s not always possible.

I’m not responsible for administering the Community Group. I think you should assume the group has NOT been updated until the administrator says they’ve done it.

Yeah I noticed that too. Deut. Did not show up for me either but I don't think I have that volume. L8 gold. I fixed this by moving the mytag portion outside the commentary rule and then just tagged them manually

When editing the existing rule, press CTRL+A to select the whole rule, then paste the new rule in its place.

It looks like shared collections can now be accessed from within Logos pretty easily through Docs/Public. And collections can fairly easily be shared/updated from documents.logos.com (preferably with unique prefix, eg "Barnes: Commentaries - Historical (Antiquity)"). Not sure how updating works for users or how much burden that might be to you compared to updating here. Not sure if it's practical or advantageous over what's already available or not...

Barnes: Commentaries - Historical (Reformation) I did notice the new sharing options, but wasn’t sure how easy they were to keep up to date. I’ll check them out.
