Carta!
Any chance we'll see some of these Carta materials in Logos? I always see these at SBL and think "wow, those are great visuals."
Or perhaps The Sacred Bridge?

Carta?Perhaps as part of the academic focus in the next six months?!

Carta?Perhaps as part of the academic focus in the next six months?!
Riiiiiight! 😂
I tried to personally find out about this whole thing but the answer remained the same, “nothing for the foreseeable future!” Very unfortunate but oh well 😬

Anyone remember Tov? Gee, they really are interested in academic? I admit, after experiencing Verbum yesterday, I'm not particularly more positive. Then, you have 'maps'. Did NETS ever arrive? And Francis wants his Logos to work. I better shut up.

Keep Hope Alive! Carta!
Count me in too!
What are you talking about Bruce? You’ve been in since Tuesday January 1st, 2013, page 1 of this thread. It’s been so long you just probably forgot 😂😂😂
DAL
Note the context DAL - "Count me in" on still keeping hope alive that someday Carta may come to Logos.
Using adventure and community to challenge young people to continually say "yes" to God
I also hope this will eventually make its way to Logos. I'm not sure why anyone would troll a thread where people are expressing a desire for a resource to be added to Logos. There are numerous suggestion threads where people often return and bump for new views, and this thread simply shows that there is a lot of interest in these resources.
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.
And Carta is one of many that are available on Accordance but missing from Logos.
True, but I haven't gone down that path and don't desire to (primarily for financial reasons, but also not having to use two different bible study programs).
I'm glad that you and DAL have access to Carta, but if I have to spend money, I'd prefer to spend it on Logos resources. I'm willing to wait to get what I'd prefer.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I think FL is trolling you then 😂😂😂 Denise’s comment is more accurate though. 👍😁👌
This is not rocket science Carta resources are out in another platform, we know it’s not an exclusive contract. If FL truly wanted to have Carta resources it seems they would by now. I admit I am not remotely aware of the intricacies of the negotiation process but I do know that when it has been going on for years it’s not the most hopeful sign. I am very happy with the idea of Carta coming to FL but until I see them in the store labeled as under development I am not going to believe there is a reasonable chance that they will be coming.

Sigh. Petah, I can't imagine anyone wanting multiple platforms. Excruciating learning, major nail-on-the-blackboard updates. Back and forth, back and forth. No one 'wants' Accordance, given Logos' power.
DAL for several years now, is trying to goad FL (think goat) to get busy. And it's not only Carta. BW finally 'motivated' Logos to do Samaritan. It took YEARS. Matthew gave up. Logos slept thru Tov, and are now paying for it. NETS?
Yesterday, I was thoroughly enjoying my BW. I wasted (true) money, for the joys it brings, in the absense of Logos. As you read, it literally highlights the mss imagery; then you can examine the brush-strokes. High-speed too. And dead software. Plus a bunch of other resources too. Can anyone say 'Japan'?
Anyway, back to Carta.

Perhaps if FL were as single-focused as other companies, more would happen with resource acquisition.
I wonder if FL might not appear to have been as committed to bible study software as A or BW, since FL focuses on many other products -- presentation software, online giving, church management, tv, book and magazine publishing, etc.
Perhaps those products are more useful to pastors, but they don't do anything for a layperson like me.

You're probably right. They changed visions several times (and names). Then, product emphasis.
Like many on the forum, I used to do retail, high-end analytics, and eventually an executive, but one mistake many resellers make is to build your assortment on popularity ... due to competition, you inevitably must compete on price. The more profitable choice is to offer popularity, but closely manage key 'driver' items that marry your customer to you. Drivers are rarely popular, but seal the deal.
Logos, I assume due to near bankruptcy, took the 'prove-it' approach ... prepubs, plus most common items (lexicons, etc). They'd of been far smarter to manage 'drivers'. Baptists have their key texts, Pentecostal another, and Catholics, liturgical. Pre-build known markets; pre-pub to explore new markets.

Logos, I assume due to near bankruptcySeriously? I cannot see the forum facial expressions to know what category of speaking this line should be in.
Way back ... I think in their corp-history; no secret. It formed their emphasis on solid financial decisioning ... good for Logosians.

I own them both in Accordance and I must say that the Tabernacle and Temple graphics are very helpful!
Today, I thought, “Carta for Christmas!”
Unless they skip prepup and get published like some resources in the past, I don’t think it’s going to happen. It’d be nice if it did.
Personally, I’m not planning on duplicating the set anymore unless it was available in Spanish. Why contract negotiations have failed between CARTA publishers and FL is beyond comprehension, but it doesn’t matter anymore.
DAL
PS. Anyway, Bump for those who still want it! 👍😁👌
Carta will only be offered as a bundle with CS Lewis' Narnia series, the works of Robert Alter, George Marsden, Alister McGrath, the modern Mormonism collection, the science/religion/hermeneutics collection, an Akkadian/Hebrew lexicon, and the holographs of the Pauline corpus

Today, I thought, “Carta for Christmas!”What a wonderful thought. If only....
Would be an awesome Christmas gift....even if I would have to pay for it! :-)
Been holding out on Accordance in hopes that a miracle would happen and we'd get Carta in Logos!

Even Wordsearch Bible Software has now started offering some Carta volumes. They just started selling Carta's Understanding the Bible Series 22 volumes.
If Wordsearch can do it, why can't FL strike a deal once and for all for these resources? Some have said, FL is hard to deal with, but I think they just need to find the right person to negotiate with Carta in order to bring their resources to the Logos platform.
Anyway, look at it this way, if Wordsearch now has Carta resources, maybe it's a sign Logos may have them soon too.
DAL
Why torture yourselves for almost a decade when these resources can be available at your fingertips NOW and with far way more superior graphics?
Every time I get an Accordance email, I check for Carta (Understanding, so, so), and graphic resourses (been slow for a couple of years). Just me, I can't see a Logos Carta, absent Logos better graphics.
I've been sorely tempted (almost 40 days and even nights) to get the Accordance MSS images module, but my Bibleworks is handy for overlaying the verse numbers. Bibleworks even lets you adjust contrast, color layers, etc and auto links to your other Bible.
Hmmm. Yes, Logos refs the web, in the explorers.

And strong intro price, too!
My sales rep will probably offer 20% off extra and a free book! Not bad at all 👍😁👌 I can always copy and paste the images to use them in PowerPoint or slide shows or Accordance’s own Paper (sermon editor).

That WS pricing is magnificent for a 22 volume set - it woud take something special to happen for FL to offer it at that price. And it’s not even a Black Friday Deal.

All this talk about getting Carta in other software programs makes me sad.
I just want it in Logos.
Same here. I would suppose that no other platform would tag images as well as Logos. Besides, I dont want to depend on two different platforms for sermon graphics.

Enter Accordance! Far better superior graphics that put Logos to shame. Just ask Denise 👍😁👌
Since Logos doesn't have Carta yet, I figured that it would not be against Forum policy to post this. The Biblical Archaeological Society has some great deals here. and many of the resources are from Carta....but they are not ebooks.
