Words of Jesus in Red
Is it possible to turn off the words of Jesus in red?
John chapter 17 is an eyesore for me.... I've never owned a red-letter bible.

If it needs votes then I second Damian's request. There is a time and place for Red Letter, but not all the time so being able turn off would be appreciated from a visual strain perspective.

Definite +1 from me. I do not want to read the red letters in my Bible, paper or screen.
Send them to visual filters with an off switch please.

I'm not theologically opposed to red-letter Bibles, but as soon as I got LDLS (L3), I changed the color to a darker shade of red (R:128; G:0; B:0), to make it much more readable. If you're not going to make the red letter color customizable, may I put in my request to make them a darker shade of red?
Either way, I agree that we should be able to turn this feature off.

+1 for me. I absolutely hate red letter Bibles. Very difficult to read, for no theological purpose.

I like the Red Letter option, not because I think the red lettered portions are more God's Word thanthe rest of the Bible, but because it serves the purpose of a visual filter. The Gospels record what Jesus said as well as what was said about Jesus.

I do hope the Red Letter filter can be turned off.
I suppose if there is demand, you can add the Green Letter filter from http://greenletterbible.com/ but I for one do not plan on using it.
There are many more HarperCollins products I would like before this (eg, their Study Bible, the updated versions of HBC and HBD). I don't suppose that now that you work with Zondervan, that you can get more from their parent company?

The red-letter versions make it possible to search the words of Christ eg.
words-of-christ:blessed

First of all, I was not the one who brought up Green Letter bibles in this discussion. Second, I tried to say I wasn't interested in it, really. A good review of this is in the Journal _First Things_.
Back on topic, yes, Words of Jesus is a valid field for searching, but that doesn't mean that I should always be displayed.

Back off Point....I was most certainly joking. I had heard of the green Bible which is recycled and shades green passages that are good for the environment or some other non-sense...but I've always wondered what they did with the passages about everything burning.
Back on track....sort of....My prefered Bible would be one which shades all the words of God black, personnally.
