I generally like Roger Olson's writing style, but it looks like these are the only two mobile ed courses he has done.  There's only one very high-level  preview video that is shared by both courses, so I can't get a feel of the courses from it.  I searched for threads offering feedback on the courses but only found one.  It was very brief (only a few posts) and the OP was very negative in his feedback.

I'm wondering if there are any others who have viewed either of these courses who would be willing to share their thoughts?

Well, I had my eye set on them and when I saw the Cyber Monday Deal earlier today I bought both. Of course I didn't watch all of them, just the very beginning and then the sections on Augustine and Arminius. Some thoughts:

Olson, as always, is very polite and doesn't come through as combative. He treats the different people in church history in a very fair and even-handed manner. Olson teaches deep and complex stuff and uses very precise language, thus this course is one to read along the textbook and not just have it run in the background trying to absorb it through osmosis while concentrating on something else.

I'm so glad to have this course

Thanks for your reply, NB.Mick.  I had considered the courses a while back, but with other things going on, I just didn't feel right about spending at the time.  I was very happy when I saw them on sale today, but still decided to see if there were any reviews on them.  As noted in my original post, I was concerned (and quite surprised) at how negative the one review I found was, but based on your reply I'm giving them a shot.

And like you, one of the things I've appreciated about Olson in the resources I've read or viewed, is his respectful and irenic approach to opposing views.  I don't know if he always presents that way, but that's what I've experienced so far.
