Logos 4 Help resource
The Logos 4 Help resource is included in Beta 1, although it is still 'under construction'. Clicking on the help icon (?) on the right side of the command bar and choosing Logos Bible Software Help from the menu will open the Help panel. Pressing F1 in any of the panels will open Help as well.
Typing show help on ... in the Command box will open help to a specific topic. For example, show help on guides will open Help to articles on 'Passage Guide', Edit Guide Template', 'How do I combine Passage and Exegetical Guide results into one report?', etc.
Please add any requests for future help articles and any other Help suggestions to this thread.
Thank you!
Melissa

We really need a way to search this fourm....I had real trouble trying to refind this thread.... which I appreciate you probably can't do anything about Melissa.. what I wanted to post was I picked up on a typo in help file. In the Section titled: Biblical Things Options the first instruction states - 1. Generate a Biblical Places Report... I believe given the context it should say instead - 1. Generate a Biblical Things Report. Note the hyerlink also takes you wrongly to the Biblical Place article instead of the Biblical Things article.

Andrew
Another issue I've come across with help file in section Resource Priority.
From point 2:
There is no step a, b or c. But su-points 1, 2 and 3. Sub point 1 seems to be standalone and would be equivalent to a , Sub points 2 and 3 seem to relate and would be equivalent to b. This means c, the third option is missing, if it exists.
2.Prioritize resources using step a., or steps b-c.
1.Right-click on a resource title and choose Prioritize this resource from the context menu. (Note: If the resource is part of a series, you will also have the option to Prioritize this series.) This action will open the Prioritize pane.
2.Click on Prioritize on the Library toolbar to open the Prioritize pane.
3.Drag one or more preferred resources to that pane. (Note: When you drag a resource title that is part of a series, the whole series will be added. If you only want one, follow step a. instead.)

I think I had the same problem initially. When you open the NKJV do you have the option to open the interlinear?
Phil,
The reason I want to open up Help is so that I can read before trying all kinds of things...and getting more confused. I can access the Help command line (if that is what it is called) and I see the words "Get help on" and then no matter what I type in, nothing comes up. I have tried this on the Command line to the program. So, Logos staff, please help.
Melissa,
Thank you for taking the time to help me with Help. It sounds fun to say[:)] Indexing went fine and I have no indication that there were any glitches. I received the dvd. And I manually downloaded the Syntax package. I really want to read all of Help that is available. I open up the program, hit the F1 key to bring up help and all I see is "Get help on..." and those letters are gray. There is no list.
If I type Search in the main command box, I get a very short list: of resources. If I open the magnifying glass icon, I get two search boxes. I am completely lost...
One thing I would like to see upcoming in help, if it is possible... I love the new copy bible verses functionality the one setting I could not find the coding to change is the font size, is this possible?
There isn't coding to change the font size in Copy Bible Verses. Depending on what program you are pasting the text into, you may have an option to match the font in the document if you use the 'Copy' option, instead of 'Copy and Paste'. (MS Word displays a clipboard icon below just-pasted text with an option to Match Destination Formatting.)
Melissa,
Although it was almost finished indexing last nite, (I did turn my computer off-at bedtime), this morning indexing began all over again. UGH! I cannot use v.4 while it is indexing because it would slow it down and what's the point since during indexing wouldn't using my resources give me different results than after indexing? Help is still not working; I did try it.
Indexing does need to complete before turning off your computer. It might be best to leave it indexing, and not work in it until it's finished. When it has finished, restart Logos, then check Help again to see if you have a list of Help topics below the Get help on ... box. Also, open the ESV and tell me if you have the Interlinear option on its toolbar.
Thanks for the tip Melissa on the Command box.
