PB: ELCF Lectionary (Year 3) 2020-2021
Hello everyone!
Here's a self-made Lectionary of the ELCF (Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Finland), Year 3 - starting in roughly a month.
Our Lectionary is on a three-year-basis, and soon we are going to switch from Year 2 to Year 3. The Lectionary covers the Church Year from Advent (29th November 2020) to Christ the King (21 November 2021).
Here's the Lectionary:
7536.ELCF Lectionary (Year C) 2020-2021 PUBLIC.docx
You can add it to the Logos library with full lectionary capabilities, including adding it as a layout and search via calendar.
Please report me if you find any errors in it (I've proof-read it a couple of times).
Deo volente, I will make new ones for the Cycles 1 and 2.
The ELCF is the majority Church of Finland, Europe, Scandinavia. We have about 3,8 million members.
Enjoy!

Can somebody please help?
Not still quite mastering the art of PB building. The Lectionary shows strange behaviour:
I’ve tried to start it every day, but it seems that if I don’t change the first Date Milestone every day (see screenshot number 1 below), the Layout on the Dashboard goes missing (screenshot number 2).
Is this a bug or normal behaviour? Or rather: should I do something differently? Thanks in advance for your aswers!

IIRC Lectionaries behave correctly only after a day or two is in the past ... an all future lectionary won't show. Of course, the real problem is that "Finnish Lutheran"=Apostolic Lutheran i.e. think northern ... [okay, my home community may have left me slightly biased]
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

MJ, thank you for the quick reply. So now I have another good reason for anticipating Advent...[;)]

The "Laestadian Revival movement" (= the equivalent of "Apostolic Lutheran", if I understand correctly - not trying to start up a theological topic, rather approaching things sociologically) is only one (1) of the five (5) revival movements active inside the Lutheran Church of Finland. And even it is shattered into many smaller communities. Besides them there are many extra-Church movements. I grew up in an environment where it was very influential. But it is not the whole story of the Church of Finland. We are quite an "umbrella" - in regards to smaller communities, where "a thousand flowers bloom..." [:)]

The "Laestadian Revival movement" (= the equivalent of "Apostolic Lutheran", if I understand correctly . . . But it is not the whole story of the Church of Finland.
True ... but it is the whole story in a rural town (population 125) where the ethnic variety was full Finn vs. part Finn [;)] My Grandma who was the wife of a Church of Christ minister might have identified herself as Church of Christ ... but she still had to sing hymns in Finnish at the Apostolic Lutheran Church every Sunday afternoon.

Interesting! Can't argue with that! [:)]

For all ye "lectionary lunatics" [;)], here's the next Lectionary of the ELCF (Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Finland), Year A - starting next Sunday.
We turn from year 3 (or C) to year 1 (or A), and so the wheels keep on turning. The Lectionary covers the Church Year from Advent (28th November 2021) to Christ the King (20 November 2022).
Here's the Lectionary:
8306.ELCF Lectionary (Year A) 2021-2022.docx
I've checked, double checked and triple checked, but if you find any mistakes, please let me know!
Enjoy! [:)]
